We lift this precious soul and her household before the throne of grace, knowing that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We rejoice that this prayer is offered in His holy name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).
Father God, we ask that You would draw this woman to Yourself with cords of lovingkindness. Soften her heart to receive the truth of Your Word, that she may confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in her heart that You raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation (Romans 10:9-10). If she has not yet surrendered her life to Christ, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), leading her to repentance and faith.
We also pray for the people in her life, her family, friends, neighbors, and all who interact with her. Lord, would You open their eyes to see their need for a Savior? Would You break the chains of unbelief and deception in their lives, that they may turn to You and be saved? We know that You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4), and so we boldly ask that You would move in their hearts.
As for her beloved dog, we acknowledge that You are the Creator of all living things, and even the animals are under Your care (Psalm 50:10-11). We ask that You would watch over this creature, protect it from harm, and bless it with health and well-being. While our ultimate concern is for the eternal souls of people, we trust that You delight in the works of Your hands and care for all creation.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of complacency or deception that would keep this woman or her loved ones from knowing You. We declare that the gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16), and we pray that this household would be transformed by its truth. May they come to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that they may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19).
We also encourage this dear one to seek fellowship with other believers, to study Your Word, and to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. May she find a biblical church where she can be discipled and equipped to live a life that honors You. If she is already a believer, we pray that You would deepen her faith and use her as a light in her community.
Heavenly Father, we trust in Your goodness and mercy. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, drawing hearts to Yourself and glorifying Your name. May this woman and her household experience the joy of salvation and the peace that comes from knowing You. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
