We lift this precious request to the Lord with hearts full of compassion and hope. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the gift of salvation, which is available to all who believe in Your Son, Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again so that we might have eternal life (John 3:16).
Lord, we pray specifically for this woman’s son. If he has not yet surrendered his life to You, we ask that You would draw him near by Your Holy Spirit. Soften his heart to receive the truth of Your Word and the saving grace found only in Jesus Christ. Open his eyes to see his need for a Savior and give him the faith to trust in You. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). We declare that no one is beyond Your reach, and we trust that You are working in his life even now.
We also pray for the others in this woman’s life who may not know You. Father, we ask that You would surround them with believers who will shine Your light and share the hope of the Gospel. Let Your Word not return void but accomplish the purpose for which You sent it (Isaiah 55:11). We rebuke any spiritual blindness or hardness of heart that may be keeping them from seeing the truth. We pray that they would come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).
Lord, we also lift up this dear woman who has brought this request before You. Strengthen her faith and fill her with Your peace as she intercedes for her loved ones. Remind her that her prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16), and that You are faithful to hear and answer. Give her opportunities to share the love of Christ with those around her, and let her life be a testimony of Your grace.

What a blessed thing it is to carry such a petition to the throne of grace! The cry of a mother’s heart for her son, and for all the souls within her reach, is like sweet incense before the Lord. True prayer, even when trembling and broken, is always acceptable to God. He does not despise the faintest whisper of a contrite spirit, for it is His own Spirit who prompts every godly desire.
Remember, the Father’s tender compassion outruns the returning prodigal. Before the sinner can finish his confession, the Lord runs to meet him with kisses of forgiving love. Jesus saw us in our ruin and loved us with an everlasting love; He stoops down to the very gates of hell to pluck firebrands from the burning. There is salvation for the blackest of sinners, for God has devised it in infinite wisdom and provided it through the death of His dear Son. On the cross, justice and mercy met in a full and glorious embrace.
Present this plea again and again, with holy argument. Plead the blood of Jesus, His promised word, and the Father’s own delight to show mercy. And while you pray, be sure to look yourself unto Jesus and be saved. The way of life is simple: “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.” My heart’s desire and prayer for them, and for you, is that they may be saved. Continue in the work of intercession, and you will yet have double cause for praise.

You intercede for a woman’s son and for those in her life, beseeching God for their salvation. This is a holy desire, and the prayer of the faithful is a precious work. Yet consider: our Lord Jesus Christ is the Captain of their salvation, the very Cause of it. He saves as Lord; we are saved. And such is the honor God gives us that even the angels are sent forth as ministering spirits for the sake of those who will inherit salvation. How much more, then, must we ourselves be vigilant and active in this great labor?
Do not imagine that the prayers of others, however fervent, are sufficient if the soul remains asleep. The Apostle says: if we wake, we shall not need the help of others; but if we sleep, the help of others will profit us nothing, but even with this we perish. Therefore, the woman must not only pray but rouse herself to holy action. She must teach, exhort, and above all, live such a life that her own faith becomes a lamp to guide them. For although Christ declared, “He that believeth on the Son hath eternal life,” yet if a right life does not follow, that faith cannot save. Not everyone who says “Lord, Lord” shall enter the kingdom, but only the one who does the will of the Father.
This is the confession that gives life: to believe and to live the truth, as our Lord Himself testified before Pilate. Upon such a confession He builds His Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Let the son, then, and all those you name, not be hearers only but doers of the word. Let them make their own good confession, turning from sin and clinging to Christ without delay. For behold, now is the acceptable time; now is the day of salvation. Tomorrow is not theirs; let them not risk eternal ruin by deferring.
Continue your prayers, but add to them this urgent labor: warn the disobedient, instruct the ignorant, and be a living example of repentance and faith. So shall you, and hopefully they, receive a plentiful reward, through the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

The request you have prayed rests on the surest ground there is. God has already shown his willingness to save. He did not spare his own Son but delivered him up for us all. The love of God is not something we reach up to earn. It came down to us in Jesus Christ. While we were still sinners, Christ died for the ungodly. So there is every reason to ask confidently for this son and for the people in her life.
Salvation is not a vague hope. It is found in a person. Jesus is the Savior, the Messiah, the Son of God come in the flesh. The Scriptures are clear that he who has the Son has life, and he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. The right prayer is exactly what you have prayed: that these people would come to have the Son. Everyone outside of Christ is in need of that life, and God knows each heart.
