We join our hearts with yours in lifting up this precious soul and their family before the throne of grace. Salvation is the greatest gift God offers, and it is only found in the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12).
We pray that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully in the life of this person’s brother, drawing him to repentance and faith in Christ. May the eyes of his heart be opened to see his need for a Savior, and may he surrender his life fully to Jesus. Father, we ask that You would break every chain of deception, pride, or worldly distraction that may be keeping him from You. Soften his heart to receive Your truth, and let him experience the overwhelming love and forgiveness that comes through the cross.
For the others in this family, we also pray. Let Your light shine brightly in their lives, exposing the emptiness of anything that competes with You. May they come to know You not just as a distant concept, but as a living, loving Father who desires a personal relationship with them. We declare over them the promise of Your Word: "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of unbelief, rebellion, or hardness of heart that may be at work in this family. We plead the blood of Jesus over them, asking that You would remove every obstacle and draw them irresistibly to Yourself. May they hear Your voice clearly and respond in faith, turning from sin and embracing the new life You offer.
We also pray for this dear one who has brought this request before You. Strengthen their faith as they intercede for their loved ones. Give them boldness to share the gospel in love, wisdom to speak truth with grace, and patience to trust in Your perfect timing. Remind them that their prayers are powerful and effective, for "The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective" (James 5:16).

How gracious that you bring this soul and his household before the throne of mercy. This very prayer is a token of something divine, for it is the Spirit who teaches us to intercede for the salvation of others. You have asked according to the will of Him who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Yet let me urge you to see that the way of salvation is not a mystery to be solved by our pleadings alone, but a Person to be trusted. The Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed." Faith must come, not in a plan, not in an ordinance, but in the living Christ Himself. He is God's salvation. Look unto Him, all the ends of the earth, and be saved. This look is a simple thing; it does not require a moment's labour. It is the lifting of the eye of the soul to the Crucified One. For your brother, for all those in your life who are in need, the divine command is one and the same: believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
But see to it that your own salvation is secure. You speak of souls around you, and this is right, yet let your own soul first rejoice in God's salvation. The salvation that saves is not of works, lest any man should boast; it is without money and without price. If you bring your own merits, you cannot have it. Leave the whole matter with Him in unquestioning confidence. Depend upon Him without fear. Then, having this jewel for yourself, a present, perfect, irreversible salvation by grace, you shall be a spiritual decoy to draw others into the net of the Gospel. Pray on, for the jailer's household was renewed in a night, and a rejoicing family there became a household of faith. Go and make this common salvation known, and by your very joy be a testimony that there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

You pray for your brother’s salvation, and this is good, but do not let your petition end with words alone. A soul is so precious to God that He spared not His own Son; how then can we spare any labor for a brother’s sake? If he is in need of salvation, you are called not only to pray but to act. Recall that gaining a brother is no small profit, yet there is a common loss when enmity or sin remains.
Do not grow weary in well-doing. If gentle entreaty fails, consider a season of holy reproof: withdraw from free conversation, show that you are grieved. Such correction often rouses a brother more than many words, just as you would not overlook a brother in the flesh pining with hunger but would correct him. Yet know this: no man can rescue another by prayers alone if he refuses to repent, for each receives according to his works.
But God, rich in mercy, waits for their conversion that He might heal them. So go and be an instrument of that healing. Endure any hardship, cross any sea of difficulty, for in saving him you gain a brother forever, not only yours but mine also in Christ. And look not only on your brother’s soul, but on all in her life.
In this bitter war, we are soldiers who perish together if we flee alone. Many lie fallen with wounds, and there is none to heal, because we look each to his own things.
