We hear your heartfelt cry for the salvation of these two souls, and we join you in lifting them up before the throne of grace. There is no greater gift than the salvation found in Jesus Christ, for He alone is "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6). Without Him, no one can come to the Father, and without faith in His name, there is no forgiveness of sins or eternal life.
Father God, we come before You with urgency and love, asking that You would open the eyes of these two individuals to see their need for a Savior. Your Word tells us, "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23), and "the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Lord, we pray that You would convict their hearts of sin and draw them to Yourself, for no one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws them (John 6:44).
We rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells them they are "good enough" or that they do not need a Savior. We declare that there is no other name under heaven by which they must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful and personal way, through Your Word, through dreams, through the testimony of believers, or through the still, small voice of Your Holy Spirit. Soften their hearts to receive Your truth and grant them the gift of repentance, for "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
We also pray for those around them, friends, family, or even strangers, who may be used by You to share the gospel. Give them boldness and wisdom to speak Your truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). May these two souls encounter Your love through the lives of Your people, for "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17).
Lord, if there are any strongholds of unbelief, addiction, or rebellion in their lives, we break their power in the name of Jesus. We declare that "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). We pray that they would turn from their sins and put their trust in Christ alone, for "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13).
We thank You, Father, that You are not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. May these two souls be added to the number of those who are saved, and may they one day stand before You, washed in the blood of the Lamb.

We don’t have to muster enough faith or find the perfect words; the Holy Spirit is already moving in ways we can’t see. Often, the very fact that someone is being prayed for is evidence that God is drawing them. Our part is to keep asking, keep trusting, and rest in His perfect timing.
As you continue to pray, know that your quiet, steadfast intercession matters. It may feel small, but it’s part of a much larger story God is writing. And if there ever comes an opportunity to plant a seed of hope or share what Jesus means to you, He will give you the courage in that moment. It is no small thing when a soul is burdened for the salvation of others, for this is the very mind of Christ, who ever liveth to make intercession. Your cry, though brief, bears the mark of that unselfish pleading which the Holy Ghost alone can kindle. Be encouraged, then, that such prayers do not rise from the flesh, but are traced upon the heart by God Himself.
Yet suffer a word of examination. The Spirit maketh intercession for the saints, but He intercedes not in or for the unregenerate. Have you first looked to Christ for your own soul? If you have never fled to the cross, your prayers for others cannot ascend with that power which belongs to the redeemed. See to it that you yourself are resting wholly upon the finished work of Jesus, for then you may plead with a holy boldness for those still dead in trespasses.
And if you are indeed in Christ, then let nothing silence you. Like Samuel, count it a sin to cease praying for the people. Pursue these two persons with persistent intercession, even as long as breath remains in you. Do not let the answer tarry without pressing the suit with all the arguments you can gather from Scripture. Remind the Lord of His promises; spread the case before Him; lay hold of the horns of the altar and refuse to let go until He bless them.
Remember, the salvation you seek for them is God's salvation, devised by infinite wisdom, purchased by precious blood, and applied by sovereign grace. It is not of works, lest any should boast. Therefore, point them to the simple command, “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.” Tell them, by your life and lip, that the fountain is open, the bread is free, and whosoever believeth shall never be ashamed. And while you pray, be not like those who say, “Not now, not now,” and put off the day of their own earnestness. Let your prayer be that of Jacob, humble and argumentative, yet submitting all to the will of Him who answereth not always as we expect, but always in wisdom and love.
Be much at the mercy seat, and let not your prayers return empty into your own bosom, for he that asketh receiveth. May the Lord save those two souls, and make you a joyful witness of His power to redeem.

You have offered a good prayer, desiring the salvation of others, and this is pleasing to God, who wills all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. It is a holy thing to lift up souls before the throne of grace, for intercession has great power when it flows from a merciful heart.
But take care, lest while you pray for others you neglect your own watchfulness. It is a good thing to enjoy the prayer of the saints, but only when we ourselves are on the alert. Do not say, "What need have I of prayer?" lest you be humbled. Even Paul did not count himself beyond the need of others’ prayers. So while you cry out for those two souls, remember that your own salvation must be pursued with fear and trembling. God is more willing to give His grace directly to the one who strives, than to grant it merely at the request of another for that person’s sake.
Make your life an example of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. A teacher of others must first be a living law. If you shine as a pattern of Christian living, your prayer will have wings, and those for whom you intercede may be drawn to the faith by your good works. For many who were far off have been won without a word, by the silent sermon of a holy life.
Continue in prayer, but do not think it a substitute for your own struggle against sin. Let your petition be joined to a life that adorns the gospel, so that your prayer may avail much. The salvation that is in Christ Jesus comes with eternal glory, and He became the author of salvation to all who obey Him. Pray, then, and labor, that you and they may obtain that salvation.

Your prayer rises from a heart that cares deeply, and that burden is something the Spirit himself stirs within us. You are asking that two precious souls would come to know the salvation that is ours in Jesus Christ, and that request is never small in the Father’s ears.
The price for their redemption has already been paid in full. On the cross, Jesus shed his blood to purchase what was lost, paying a debt no amount of silver or gold could cover. Without him, every person stands like a coin dropped in a dark corner, valuable yet entirely unable to spend itself into freedom. But the Shepherd came seeking. He said he came to seek and to save that which was lost. And the Holy Spirit still searches, still works in quiet ways, still stirs intercession in ordinary believers like you who do not know exactly how to pray, but who groan with a compassion that words cannot fully express.
Do not let the silence or the waiting discourage you. The Lord’s timing is his own, yet his desire is sure. Today is the day of salvation. The grace of God that brings rescue has appeared, and he is near to anyone who will call upon him. When we pray for others, we are standing in the gap, joining our small voices to the unceasing intercession of Christ himself. That is a great mystery, but it means no prayer breathed in Jesus’ name is wasted.
Hold on to this: the lost condition of your loved ones does not mean they are beyond hope. Jesus receives sinners, and when he does, heaven rejoices. There is a celebration every time a lost sheep is carried home, every time a lost coin is found, every time a wandering child returns. That joy is the sure destination of your prayer. So keep praying with a heart at rest. Rest in the finished work of the cross, and let that rest give you peace even while you ache. The redemption of these two people is not yet complete in their experience, but the price is not lacking. It has been paid in crimson, and one day, when faith kindles in them, the transaction will be sealed and their own voices will add to the glad song of the redeemed.
