We lift up and all those in his life to You, Lord, with hearts full of hope and faith in Your saving grace. Your Word tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). We trust in Your promise that salvation is available to all who call on the name of Jesus, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).
Father, we pray that would come to know You intimately, if he does not already. Soften his heart to receive the truth of Your Word and the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Open his eyes to see the depth of Your love and the sacrifice You made on the cross for his sins. May he turn from any path that leads away from You and embrace the new life You offer. We ask that You surround him with godly influences, believers who will walk alongside him, encourage him, and reflect Your love and truth in their lives.
Lord, we also pray for the people in ’s life. Whether they are family, friends, or acquaintances, we ask that You draw them to Yourself. Let Your Holy Spirit convict their hearts of sin and reveal to them their need for a Savior. May they experience the transforming power of Your grace and be born again into Your family. We declare that no one is beyond Your reach, for "with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26). We rebuke any lies from the enemy that would tell them they are unworthy or beyond redemption, for Your Word says, "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
We also lift up any areas in ’s life or the lives of those around him that may not align with Your will. Father, we ask that You bring conviction where there is sin, whether it be in relationships, habits, or attitudes that dishonor You. Give them the strength to repent and turn away from anything that separates them from You. If there are relationships that do not honor You, such as those involving fornication, adultery, or same-sex unions, we pray that You would bring clarity and conviction. Your Word is clear: "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). We pray that and those in his life would seek relationships that honor You, pursuing godly marriages built on Your principles.
Lord, we ask that You fill and those around him with a hunger for Your Word and a desire to live in obedience to You. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide for all their needs (Matthew 6:33). Surround them with a community of believers who will disciple them, pray for them, and hold them accountable as they grow in their faith.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. We thank You, Lord, for the privilege of coming before Your throne on behalf of and those in his life. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they come to know the joy and peace that comes from walking with You. Amen.

It is a profound thing to carry someone's name before the throne of grace with such simple, urgent love. We are moved by your heart for this man and for the circle of souls around him. When we pray for another's salvation, we are joining Christ's own intercession, He is always living to make intercession for us, and He welcomes our partnership in that tender, persistent work.
Right now, you're doing the one thing most needed. So we simply want to stand with you in it and invite you to keep going. If the Spirit brings this person to mind at unexpected moments, lift him up again, even in a sentence. Some burdens are meant to be carried steadily over time, not resolved by one prayer. That patient, abiding hope is itself a deep form of faithfulness.

It is a sweet and blessed thing to see a soul pouring itself out in intercession for another, crying to the God of all grace for the salvation of one known to the heart. You have taken up the very work of Christ Himself, for He ever lives to make intercession for transgressors. To plead with heaven for a sinner is no small thing; it is to stand in the gap, to lay hold of the horns of the altar, and to agonize with God until the blessing comes. The prayer you have uttered is short, but it is full of marrow and fatness, going straight to the point with a direct cry for salvation. This is the kind of wrestling that touches the heart of God, a cry not for temporal trifles, but for the eternal soul, founded upon the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Let your faith be strengthened by this assurance: this prayer is a diamond set in the gold of God’s own promise, and it shall not be thrown away. Though your faith may seem but a trembling spark, it is yet fixed upon the mighty Intercessor, who has gone within the veil. Remember, it is not the length of the prayer, nor the elegance of its language, that prevails, but the name in which it is offered. Have you not heard how our Lord prayed for Peter by name, and that peculiar, pointed prayer was heard? So it is when a saint lays hold upon one poor sinner and brings him by name to the throne; it is a particularizing faith that gets the grip of a wrestler, and will not let go without the blessing. The Savior’s own heart is full of compassion for this man, and for the circle of souls surrounding him, for He is not willing that any should perish.
Yet while you ply the throne of grace with your petitions, do not forget that true prayer will always prove its sincerity by its practical outworking. It is well to cry to God, “Save Your people,” and well to plead for this man and those in his life. But you must also let your daily walk and conversation become a living sermon to them. The value of your prayer will be seen in the life that rises from the knees ready to serve. Let your kindness, your patience, and your holy example be a sweet savour of Christ to their souls. Look for opportunities to speak a word in season, to show what God has done for you, and to prove that the grace you seek for them has first transformed your own heart. The silent eloquence of a transformed life often breaks the rocky heart where words fall powerless.
Push the boat out into deeper waters by pleading the all-prevailing name of Jesus. Remind the Lord, in your secret pleadings, that this is the will of Him who sent the Son, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in Him should have eternal life. Plead the covenant of grace, sealed with precious blood. When you ask for their salvation, you are not asking for a thing uncertain, but for that which glorifies God in the highest degree. Christ's own prayer for His people is always heard; He never offered a deceitful or powerless petition. He has prayed for His own, and your prayer is but the echo of His eternal intercession. Therefore, be encouraged, and with humble boldness, continue to knock at the door of mercy until it is opened. The Lord is a God of salvation, and to Him belong the issues from death.

You pray for the salvation of another soul and for those around him. This is a holy desire, but consider well what our Lord Himself asks: "What is a man profited if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?" There is a salvation that is eternal, and a destruction that has no end, do not imagine them to be the same. While you intercede for others, take heed to your own soul's health. If you ask God to save them yet harbor wrath or an unforgiving heart, you provoke Him at the very moment you need mercy.
Lift up holy hands without anger. Christ, our High Priest, ever lives to make intercession; He is able to save to the uttermost those who come unto God by Him. He needs no successor, and His intercession is continual. Therefore pray with confidence, but also with a clean conscience.
If there is any stain, wash it away by repentance, tears, and works of mercy. Do not be like Demas, who loved this present world and shrank from hardship. Endure all things for the elect's sake, that they may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. Their conversion is possible, and upon repentance they may be healed.
Yet your own hope of salvation cannot rest in another; you must work it out after the lovingkindness of God. Continue in prayer, but let your life shine with purity, that you yourself not hinder their salvation.
