We lift these precious souls before You, Father, recognizing that salvation is found in no one else but Your Son, Jesus Christ. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6). We pray that You would open the eyes of their hearts to see the truth of the Gospel, that all have sinned and fall short of Your glory (Romans 3:23), but that through faith in Christ’s death and resurrection, they may be saved (Romans 10:9-10).
Lord, we ask that You would draw them by Your Holy Spirit, convicting them of sin and leading them to repentance. Soften their hearts to receive the gift of eternal life, for "it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). May they turn from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to You, God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Jesus (Acts 26:18).
We also pray for the people in their lives, family, friends, coworkers, who may not yet know You. Lord, use these individuals as vessels of Your love and truth. Give them boldness to share the Gospel and wisdom to speak Your Word with grace and conviction. May their lives reflect the transforming power of Christ, so that others may see and believe.
Father, we rebuke any deception or stronghold that may be blinding these souls to the truth. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that Your Word will not return void but will accomplish what You desire (Isaiah 55:11). Let Your light shine in their darkness, and may they come to know You as their Lord and Savior.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

We’re so grateful you brought this before the Lord. The very fact that you’re interceding for these two people, and for everyone connected to them, shows a faith that trusts God’s heart before we see the outcome. Salvation is God’s work from start to finish, but He invites us to share in that work through prayer. When we ask, we’re not informing a distant God; we’re leaning into the love He already has for them, a love deeper than our own.
We don’t know what is stirring in their lives right now, but we know the Holy Spirit can use even the smallest seed of truth to draw someone home. My main business is the saving of souls. I may fitly preach to you upon any Scriptural subject and I may minister to the delight of the family of the redeemed, but my principal business must always be watching for souls. For this reason, I feel I must preach over and over again the plain Gospel of salvation by Divine Grace through faith in Christ Jesus! Faith must be urged upon you, for without it there is no salvation. The way of salvation is to believe on Christ, whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. What is believing on Him? It is trusting in Him.
How simple is that way of salvation! and O, how instantaneous! It takes us some time to move our hand, but a look does not require a moment. Yes, there is only one way of salvation for all. "Look! look! look!" This is the simple method of salvation. It is possible that, ere your foot treads the threshold of your door, you will have lost the burden that has been on your back, and you will go on your way, singing, "I am forgiven, I am forgiven; I am a miracle of grace; this day is my spiritual birthday."
Though it may seem a very trite thing to say, it is nevertheless exceedingly important, if we are to have household conversion, that there should be a household hearing of the word. You cannot pray God to save your household, and be honest, unless you give the whole household an opportunity of being saved, and God's way of saving souls, we repeat it, is by the preaching and the hearing of the word. If it is a common salvation, go and make it common. I have seen it, and my heart has been touched when I have seen it, two or three boys gathered round another to seek that boy's salvation, and praying to God as heartily and earnestly as their parents could have done.
Salvation! salvation! SALVATION! Nothing on earth can match it, for the merchandise of it is better than silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. The possession of the whole universe would be no equivalent to a lost soul for the awful damage it has sustained and must sustain for ever. Your own salvation shall be secured by that one simple act of faith; and henceforward, kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, you shall tread the way of holiness, till you come to be where Jesus is in everlasting bliss. God grant that not a soul may go out of this place unsaved.

You do well to pray for the salvation of others, for this is a mark of love. But take heed, I urge you, that while you intercede for them, your own heart is not harboring wrath or bitterness against anyone. For what hope of salvation have you if, at the very time you should be appeasing God, you instead provoke Him by lifting up hands that are not holy? Let go of every grievance, forgive every debt, so that your prayer may ascend without hindrance. For if you need mercy yourself, how can you cling to anger and yet ask mercy for others?
Remember also that it is a good thing to enjoy the prayers of the saints, but only when we ourselves are on the alert. Do not think you have no need of prayer, even as you pray for others. If you become as Paul, you still need it. Be watchful over your own soul, and strive for your own salvation with fear and trembling. Do not sleep while asking others to be awakened.
Pray for them therefore with eager desire, but do so with a clean heart, and let your own life be a constant supplication. For God looks not at the length of words, but at the fervor of a soul free from malice. So go, and as you pray for their salvation, see to it that you yourself are walking in the way of life.
Remember also that it is a good thing to enjoy the prayers of the saints, but only when we ourselves are on the alert. Do not think you have no need of prayer, even as you pray for others. He is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to plead for them. That means no one is beyond the reach of his grace, and your requests are not falling on deaf ears.
Even when we run out of words, the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. He takes our deepest longings and groans with them before the Father, shaping our prayers according to God’s own will. So you can trust that someone far greater than any human intercessor is already at work in these lives.
The foundation for this confidence is the unshakable love of God. He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all. While we were still sinners, Christ died for the ungodly. That same risen Lord now sits at the Father’s right hand, not to condemn but to save. His name itself means “the Lord is salvation,” and he will save his people from their sins. Open arms, not a clenched fist, define his posture.
Because the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to everyone, now is the moment to respond. Every person who hears his voice and turns to him in faith will not be thrown out. Jesus said that whoever comes to him he will never drive away. He is the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through him. So keep praying with that assurance, knowing that the Lord is our light and our strength; he has become our salvation.
