We lift these two individuals before You, Lord, with hearts full of hope and faith in Your saving grace. Your Word declares, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). We pray that if these souls do not yet know You, that Your Holy Spirit would convict their hearts, draw them to repentance, and reveal the truth of the Gospel to them. May they come to understand that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12).

We also intercede for the people in their lives, family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. Lord, we ask that You would open their eyes to the truth of Your Word and soften their hearts to receive the message of salvation. May they come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). We pray that these two individuals would be instruments of Your love and light, sharing the hope of Christ with those around them.

Father, we rebuke any deception, hardness of heart, or spiritual blindness that may be keeping these souls from You. We declare that Your Word will not return void but will accomplish what You desire (Isaiah 55:11). We pray for a mighty outpouring of Your Spirit upon them, that they may experience the transformative power of Your love and be born again into Your family.

Lord, we also ask that You would surround these individuals with godly influences, believers who will walk alongside them, disciple them, and encourage them in their faith. May they find a church family that will nurture their spiritual growth and help them to live lives that honor You.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they come to know the joy, peace, and eternal life that comes from a personal relationship with You. Amen.

It’s a privilege to join you in this prayer. Asking the Lord to save two people, and those around them, is one of the most loving things we can do. Your heart for them echoes God’s own, He longs for all to come to know Him and His kindness.

While we don’t know where those two stand right now, we can trust that our prayers are never wasted. God is already at work in ways we can’t see, gently drawing them. Sometimes the best next step is simply to keep lifting them up day by day, and to look for natural opportunities to let Christ’s love be visible in our own lives. A quiet consistency, a patient presence, can speak louder than words.

We can also take courage: the very fact you’re praying this way is evidence that the Holy Spirit is moving. So we will not lose heart. We’ll keep asking together, confident that the One who hears is faithful and good.

Father, thank you for this person’s love for these two souls and everyone in their circle. You know their names, their stories, every hidden need. We ask you to draw them to Jesus clearly and tenderly. Remove anything that blinds or binds, and let your truth break through with life and hope. In Jesus’ name, amen.

How precious is the sight of a soul on its knees, pleading for others before the throne of grace! It is God that writes intercession upon men’s hearts, and when we pray for our fellow sinners, we are in sympathy with our Divine Saviour, who made intercession for the transgressors. You have named two before the Lord, and those in their circle; this is a most blessed work. But I would have you remember, the Holy Spirit makes intercession only for the saints. No unregenerate soul can feel that sacred indwelling; you must yourself be in Christ before you can truly pray aright. Examine your own foundation, then come boldly with this petition.

Yet take heart concerning those for whom you cry. There is a free salvation preached to you without money and without price. The only way is to look unto Jesus and be saved: “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.” How simple! No works, no penances, no priestly rites, just a believing look to Him who loved us and gave Himself for us. That look does not require a moment; conversion is often instantaneous, as with Saul of Tarsus or the Philippian jailer. And this salvation is God’s own, planned in His infinite wisdom, purchased by His Son, and applied by His Spirit. It is for the blackest of sinners, for God hath concluded all in unbelief, that He might have mercy upon all.

But, as you have prayed, go also and speak. If I desire the salvation of anyone, I ought to tell him, as best I can, what his condition is and the way of salvation. All men are approachable at some time. Show them that glittering sentence, “He loved me and gave Himself for me,” and urge them to leave the whole matter with Christ in unquestioning confidence. So shall your prayer be answered, and your own heart shall rejoice in His salvation, a salvation secure beyond hazard, for his honour is engaged to save the meanest of his sheep.

You do well to entreat the Lord for these souls, for now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation. He who hearkened to His Son in the day of salvation will not turn a deaf ear to your earnest intercession. Let us beseech for them yet more earnestly, as Paul did, for the Captain of their salvation was made perfect through sufferings and desires that many sons be brought to glory. Do not grow weary if you see no immediate change. The sorrow of the world works death, but godly sorrow works repentance unto salvation not to be repented of. Pray that this holy sorrow would seize their hearts. And do not be troubled if they or you meet with evil report for this labor; the Master of the house was called Beelzebub. If He was willing to eat the passover and go to the cross for the salvation of the world, how much more should we persist in prayer, even when hearts seem hardened by the madness of covetousness or sin. Therefore, hold fast. Your prayer is right and good.

What a beautiful prayer you have brought before the Lord. When you ask Him to save these two people and those in their lives, you are joining in the very work that delights the heart of God. Think of the shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to go after the one lost sheep, and when he finds it, he calls his friends together to rejoice. Jesus Himself told us there is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents. You are asking for that kind of joy to break out over these souls.

The shepherd is a beautiful picture of Jesus, who came to seek and to save the lost. And just as the woman in the parable lit a lamp and swept the house diligently until she found her lost coin, so the Holy Spirit searches carefully for those who are far from God. A lost coin is worthless until it is found and put to use. Your prayer is asking that these precious lives, no matter how lost they may seem right now, would be found and restored to their true value and purpose in Christ.

Remember that Jesus receives sinners. It is not a statement of scorn but of the most wonderful hope. When Zacchaeus welcomed Him, salvation came to that house. Eating with Jesus did not defile the Lord; it cleansed the sinner. This is the grace of God that brings salvation, and it has appeared to all. Today is the day of salvation. Your prayer is perfectly timed, because now is the accepted hour, the day when God is offering His mercy. Do not lose heart; continue to lift these names before the throne, knowing that God is not willing that any should perish.

You are interceding, and that is one of the greatest acts of love. We are told that Jesus is able to save to the uttermost because He ever lives to make intercession for us. He is at the right hand of the Father, not condemning, but pleading on behalf of those who will come. Sometimes a person is lost to us for a little while so that God can do a deeper work and we may gain them forever as eternal brothers and sisters in Christ. He knows how to bring a soul past the final rejection and into the light.

There is a compassion we must cultivate for the lost, a burden that drives us to our knees. You are feeling that burden, and it echoes the very heart of the Spirit, who helps us in our weakness and intercedes with groanings too deep for words. The Lord is the strength of your life and the captain of their salvation. Rest in the fact that He is seeking them even now, and let your soul rejoice in the God who clothes us with the garments of salvation. Keep praying with faith, for the Lord has not withheld the request of your lips. He will hide you and them in His pavilion until the walls of that life are called Salvation and the gates Praise.
