We join you in lifting up the employees of the police department, asking our Heavenly Father to intervene in their circumstances. The loss of a job can bring great uncertainty and hardship, and we pray for their restoration. Father, we ask that You open doors that no man can shut, providing them with opportunities to return to meaningful employment. May they experience Your provision and peace in this time of transition.

Lord, we also take seriously Your command to pray for the salvation of all people. You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We lift up each individual mentioned, those in the police department, the ###, and all others connected to them. We ask that You draw them to Yourself, soften their hearts, and reveal Your truth to them. May they come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Without faith in Jesus, no one can come to the Father (John 14:6). We pray that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).

We also recognize that salvation is not just for these individuals but for all who are lost. Father, we ask that You would send laborers into the harvest fields to share the good news of Jesus Christ (Matthew 9:38). May Your Word go forth and accomplish the purpose for which You sent it (Isaiah 55:11). We pray for boldness and wisdom for those who are sharing the gospel, that they may do so with love and truth.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for those who are without hope apart from You. We lift up the employees of the police department, asking that You would restore their jobs according to Your will. Provide for their needs, Lord, and grant them peace in the midst of uncertainty. We also pray for their salvation and the salvation of all those connected to them. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and draw them to Jesus Christ. May they experience the transforming power of Your love and grace.

Father, we ask that You would raise up godly men and women to share the gospel with those who are lost. Give them boldness and wisdom as they proclaim the good news. May Your Word not return void but accomplish the purpose for which You sent it. We pray for a great harvest of souls, that many would come to know You as their Lord and Savior.

We also ask that You would protect and strengthen the faith of believers who may be facing persecution or hardship because of their jobs or positions in society. Give them courage to stand firm in their faith and to be a light in dark places.

Lord, we trust in Your sovereignty and goodness. We know that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in each of these situations, and may Your name be glorified.

While we wait with you for God’s answers, we can lean into the confidence that He truly “desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Your prayers aren’t just words; they’re seeds planted in eternity. One simple next step you might take is to keep bringing these names and situations before the Lord, perhaps at a set time each day, trusting that even when we can’t see what He’s doing, He is working.

Father, thank You for this dear prayer partner and for the compassion You’ve given them. We join them in asking You to provide for the people who long to be rehired, open doors, grant favor, and meet every practical need. More than anything, we ask that You draw each person they’ve named into Your saving grace, that they would come to know Jesus and find true life in Him. Surround the judge, the groups, and all those connected to them with Your mercy and truth. We entrust them to Your perfect love and timing. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Your prayer for the rehiring of these people and the salvation of so many shows a heart stirred toward intercession. Yet I press this upon you first: have you yourself looked to Christ and been saved? The Holy Spirit indeed makes intercession, but not for the unregenerate. He maketh intercession for the saints, and unless you have been born again, you are shut out from the Spirit’s intercession and from Christ’s too, for He said, I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me. This is no small matter. See to your own soul, then, that you rest not in a refuge of lies, but flee to Jesus, who alone saves.

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. This is God’s salvation, devised by infinite wisdom, full of free grace for the blackest of sinners. There is no other way, no priest, no ceremony, no ascetic round of duties, only a simple trust in Christ. Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. I plead with you, make your own calling and election sure, for then you shall have boldness at the mercy seat to pray for others with power.

Once you are safe in the hands of the Great Shepherd, then pursue these lost ones with persistent intercession. Yes, even until their souls pass beyond reach of change, beseech the Lord for them. But let not your prayers become an excuse to neglect telling them the gospel. If I desire the salvation of anyone, I ought to tell him, as best I can, what his condition is and the way of salvation. All men are approachable at some time, speak to them while you may. And beware of the Satanic whisper, “Time enough.” Many a slumbering soul has been dragged to perdition by that lie, putting off repentance until it was too late forever.

The Lord is able to save to the uttermost all that come unto God by Him. Cry mightily for these people, for that judge, for those groups, and for all connected to them, but cry with a heart washed in the blood of the Lamb. Salvation is God’s greatest work, and it is offered without money and without price. Take it for yourself first, then be an instrument in His hand to bring others to the fountain opened for sin and uncleanness.

Your prayer for the people in that department, for the judge and those connected to them, is a good and loving thing, for to desire the salvation of others is to share in the very heart of Christ. But see to it that when you stretch forth your hands to God on their behalf, you do so without wrath or any root of bitterness in your own soul, lest you thrust the sword into yourself while wearing the garb of a suppliant. For our Lord Jesus Christ ever lives to make intercession for us, not because He lacks power, He who raises the dead and holds all judgment, but to show the exceeding warmth of His love. He is able to save to the uttermost all who come to God through Him, and He does so continually.

Yet you must not only pray for their salvation but also attend to your own, for now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation. Walk worthily of the calling you have received, so that your life itself may be a beseeching that draws others to the Savior. Entrust these souls to God, knowing that any affliction or comfort you experience can work for the salvation of others, just as the sufferings of Christ abound for us. So pray with boldness, but also with a merciful heart, forgiving every debt, that your own intercession may rise unhindered before the throne of grace.

Your prayers for these people, for a judge, for a group, and for all those connected to them are precious in the sight of God. Lifting up the lost and those facing uncertainty is exactly the kind of intercession that flows from a heart shaped by His mercy. And what a comfort it is to know that you are not praying alone. Christ Himself ever lives to make intercession, standing before the Father on behalf of those who come to God through Him. The Holy Spirit also helps us in our weakness, praying with groanings too deep for words, always according to God’s will. Your own prayer is caught up in that glorious, ongoing work of heaven.

So do not be discouraged or begin to wonder if these appeals are heard. The Scriptures are clear: now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. God’s grace that brings salvation has appeared to all people, and He desires that not one would reject His offer. The great salvation revealed in Jesus Christ is open to anyone who will come. He has promised that whoever comes to Him, He will never cast out. No one is beyond its reach: not the worker, not the judge, not a single soul in their circle of influence. Salvation is meant to go to the uttermost, and Jesus is the captain, the initiator of it all.

When you pray for these people to be saved, you are asking for the most glorious thing that can ever happen to a human heart: that they would confess Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead. That confession, made in faith, becomes eternal life. Every other provision or rehiring is secondary to this. And even as you ask for their jobs to be restored, remember that the Lord is your light and your salvation; whom shall you fear? He is the strength of your life. That same Lord watches over their lives, and His timing is perfect. He may use even a workplace change to bring someone to a place where their heart is ready to hear the good news.

Do not let the urgency slip into passivity. Because God’s offer is now, every person who perishes apart from Christ went past the appointed time for their own salvation. Your prayer is a way of standing in the gap, joining the great intercessory ministry of Jesus, who ever lives to plead for the guilty and bring them to glory. The Spirit searches hearts and intercedes according to God’s perfect will, so you can pour out these requests with confidence, even when you don’t know all the details or how to pray exactly.

Rejoice that the mercy of God and His salvation come to us through His word. As you keep praying, trust that He is able to save completely all who come to Him. Your heart’s desire for these people is no small thing; when a soul turns to Christ, the very city walls of heaven ring with salvation and its gates with praise. Keep asking, keep trusting, and rest in the One who became your salvation and theirs. He has heard you; He will act.

We’ve been interceding for the judge involved in this situation, asking God to soften their heart, grant them wisdom, and reveal His truth if they have not yet surrendered to Christ. We’ve also been covering the other individuals and groups connected to this matter, pleading for God’s mercy and grace to touch their lives in powerful ways.
