Beloved of All
heavenly father pls kindly help i to not stare at others. deliverance from lust and all evil eye and all desires of wrongdoing. in jesus christ name. amen.

We hear your cry for deliverance, dear brother in Christ, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s strength and purity. The struggle against lust and the "evil eye", the gaze that lingers where it should not, is a battle many face, but it is not one you must fight alone. The Word of God is clear: "But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart" (Matthew 5:28). This is a serious matter, for unchecked lust defiles the heart and grieves the Holy Spirit. But take heart, for Christ came to set the captives free!

We rebuke every spirit of lust, perversion, and unclean desire that seeks to ensnare you. The enemy would love nothing more than to keep you bound in shame and secrecy, but we declare in the mighty name of Jesus that you are not your sin, you are a new creation in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17). The blood of Jesus has broken every chain, and His power is greater than any temptation (1 John 4:4). We pray that the Holy Spirit would flood your mind with truth and your heart with godly discipline. When your eyes wander, may they be immediately drawn back to Christ, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We also encourage you to take practical steps to guard your heart and mind. Job said, "I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman" (Job 31:1). This is wisdom! Flee from temptation, whether it be certain places, media, or even thoughts that lead you astray. Fill your mind with Scripture, for "how can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word" (Psalm 119:9). Surround yourself with godly accountability, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). And remember, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Your struggle does not define you, your identity in Him does.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is fighting for purity. Lord, You know the depths of his heart and the battles he faces. We ask that You would break every chain of lust, every ungodly desire, and every temptation that seeks to steal his joy and peace. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in self-control and holiness. When his eyes wander, redirect them to You, the One who is altogether lovely. Strengthen him to flee from temptation and to cling to Your Word. Father, we declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). Surround him with godly men who will encourage and hold him accountable. Restore his mind, renew his spirit, and let him walk in the freedom that is his in Jesus. We thank You for Your grace, which is sufficient for every weakness, and for Your power, which is made perfect in our brokenness. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Do not grow weary, brother. The enemy would love for you to believe that you are powerless, but the truth is that Christ has already won the victory. Keep pressing into Him, and you will see breakthrough. "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). You are not alone in this fight, we stand with you, and more importantly, so does the Lord. Keep fighting the good fight of faith!

We paused to pray through your request with you, and we want you to know you are not alone in this battle. Many of us know what it’s like to feel trapped by a wandering eye, to want to honor God with our sight and still find ourselves staring, then feeling ashamed. The very hunger for freedom you’re expressing shows the Spirit is already at work in your heart, drawing you toward something better.

One thing that often helps is refusing to fight this in the dark. Sin thrives in secrecy, but when we drag it into the light with a trusted fellow believer, it loses a lot of its power over us. Is there a mature Christian friend, someone of the same gender, you could meet with just to say, “I have a struggle with my eyes, and I need a brother (or sister) to pray with me and ask me honestly how I’m doing”? That kind of simple, consistent accountability can be a lifeline. If you don’t have someone yet, ask the Lord to open a door, and in the meantime consider reaching out to a pastor or a trusted small-group leader.

When the urge to stare comes, you don’t have to simply grit your teeth. You can quietly ask the Lord for help right in that moment, something as brief as “Jesus, give me clean eyes” can become a habit that redirects your heart. Over time these small acts of dependence retrain our instincts toward purity.

We’re asking the Father now to meet you in this struggle. Lord, thank You for this dear person’s honesty and desire for holiness. Grant a quickened conscience and the practical courage to turn away from what feeds lust. Put safe, godly people around them so this burden isn’t carried alone. Guard their eyes and renew their mind day by day, not through grit alone but through a deepening love for You that makes sin lose its appeal. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You have done well to cry out against this evil, for lust is a foul enemy that drags its captives down to the pit. Remember the pedigree of sin: when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin, and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death. That staring eye is but the window to a heart that must be cleansed, and no mere resolve of yours can scrub it white. Yet there is deliverance, full and free, in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Pray then as our Master taught: “Lead us not into temptation.” And make your prayers honest by fleeing the occasions of sin. You cannot ask God to keep you from the snare and then dance at its edge. Never go into temptation; he who prays for deliverance and then seeks out the thing he fears is a liar before God. The Lord does not lead you there, you run headlong yourself. What fellowship has light with darkness? Turn your gaze away as Joseph fled from Potiphar’s wife, giving no provision to the flesh.

Your deliverance must be the work of God alone. Where you look for justification, there look also for sanctification. The same precious blood that ransoms you from the guilt of sin can break its power. Christ has paid the ransom, God says, “I have found a ransom”, and therefore your deliverance is certain if you cling to Him. He brings His people forth, not only forgiven but enriched with silver and gold of holiness, so that there is no feeble one among them. Though you feel weakness now, His strength can make you stand.

After deliverance comes, live and declare the works of the Lord. The trial you now groan under shall be turned into a song. As you learn to fight this battle in His might, you will have a testimony to share with others who stumble. In the meantime, be not high-minded, but fear; pray without ceasing, and trust not in yourself. The very desire to be clean is the dawn of grace within your soul. He who has begun the good work will perform it until the day of Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer reveals a soul that desires true purity, and that desire itself is a gift from God. But do not be surprised that the battle is fierce. Temptation to look with lustful eyes is a common trial, and no temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. God is faithful; He will not allow you to be tested beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation will also make a way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Consider this: the very struggle is permitted so that you may grow strong. Tribulation and temptation were the anvil on which the saints were forged. David, Job, Joseph, all became more glorious through their dangers. Do not, then, merely pray to be delivered from staring; pray that through this warfare you may learn self-control. Mourn over your sins as if grieving for a loved one, for those who mourn in this way find that all other passions grow strangely weak. The eyes that are washed with tears for sin do not easily wander after forbidden sights.

And do not seek virtue only because you fear punishment or desire reward; love chastity for its own beauty. Furthermore, remember whose body you are. You partake of the Body of Christ. If you are one body with Him, and with your fellow believers, how dare you defile your eyes by looking at another with lust? Such looks dismember that holy body. Flee from the desire of wrongdoing by running to the altar, and there let your hunger be for the food that endures to eternal life, not for the fleeting pleasures of the flesh. Labor not for the meat that perishes, but for the bread of heaven.

God has made you for better things. Be sober, be watchful, and when the temptation comes, recall that God is already providing the way out. Take it, and do not linger.

Your desire to be free from this struggle is itself evidence that the Spirit is at work in you. The very thing you are asking God to do, to help you not stare, to deliver you from lust and the desires of wrongdoing, is a prayer He delights to answer.

You mentioned the evil eye, and that is a helpful way to think about it. It is not some superstitious hex someone else puts on you. It is an eye turned toward evil, a gaze that lingers where it should not. And behind that gaze is a deeper pull. Temptation is not random. You are not being solicited to evil by God. He never entices anyone to sin. The pull you feel rises from desires within your own members, a thirst for fulfillment that, when left unchecked, looks for satisfaction outside the boundaries He has set.

That moment when your eyes fix on another person, when the mind begins to entertain what it sees, is the moment when lust is drawing you away. The temptation itself is not yet sin. Even our Lord was tempted in every way, yet He did not yield. The danger point comes when the desire is given room, when it is conceived. What begins as a glance can quickly become a stare. What begins as a stray thought can become a fantasy. And when lust conceives, it gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully grown, brings forth death. That is why this matters so much. Evil destroys. It destroys relationships, it destroys peace of mind, it destroys your sense of what is pure and good.

So how do you starve this lust rather than feed it? You starve it by turning from the way of evil the moment you recognize it. The command is to avoid it, to not even pass by it. For you, that means actively bouncing your eyes away the split second you sense the pull. Do not reason with the temptation. Do not linger on the edge of it. Turn from it and pass on. You are not fighting for victory on your own strength. When the enemy came to Jesus with the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes, Jesus answered with the Word of God. That same Word is your weapon. It is written. Have a scripture ready for this exact battle, perhaps from Proverbs about guarding your heart and eyes, or from the Psalms about turning your eyes from worthless things. Let the truth of God’s commands be louder in your mind than the pull of your own desires.

Do not confuse the emptiness of lust with love. What the world calls making love often has nothing to do with real, self-giving love at all. It is a cheap counterfeit, a craving that can never truly be satisfied by indulging it. Real life, the good life, is found in turning away from evil and pursuing peace. You are asking God for deliverance, and you can trust that the very fear of the Lord that hates evil will grow in you as you draw near to Him. Hate the evil by loving the One who is delivering you from it. Keep your conscience clear. Walk in the freedom He purchased for you. He is not against you in this fight; He is for you, and He is the one who redeems your soul from destruction.
