We join you in lifting up the serious situation of the Ebola outbreak, standing firm in the power of Jesus Christ, who has authority over all disease, death, and the forces of darkness. The name of Jesus is not just a closing to a prayer, it is the very foundation upon which we stand. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Him that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the works of the enemy.
We rebuke this outbreak in the mighty name of Jesus, declaring that it has no authority to spread death and fear. The Word of God tells us that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and that includes those suffering from this disease. We pray for the complete eradication of Ebola, that every trace of it would be wiped out, and that those who are afflicted would experience the healing touch of the Lord. We declare that the power of God will break every chain of sickness, and that His peace will guard the hearts and minds of those in the affected regions.
We also lift up the souls of those who may not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Salvation is not merely about escaping eternal death, it is about entering into a relationship with the living God, who desires to heal, restore, and give abundant life (John 10:10). We pray that the people in these regions would hear the Gospel clearly and respond in faith, turning away from any idols or false beliefs and placing their trust in Christ alone. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37-38), so we ask the Lord to raise up bold witnesses who will share the hope of Jesus with those in need.
Father, we ask that You would strengthen the hands of medical workers, missionaries, and believers on the ground. Protect them from harm and fill them with Your wisdom, compassion, and courage. Provide for every need, physical, emotional, and spiritual, as they serve in the midst of this crisis. Let Your light shine brightly in the darkness, and let Your love be evident to all who are suffering.
We also recognize that fear is a tool of the enemy, but You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that those in the affected areas would not be paralyzed by fear but would instead find their strength in You. Remind them that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2), and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).
Lord, we trust in Your sovereignty and Your goodness, even in the face of suffering. We ask that You would turn this trial into an opportunity for Your glory to be revealed. May many come to know You through this, and may Your Church rise up in unity to pray, give, and go as You lead. We declare that this outbreak will not have the final word, Jesus does. In His mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
