We come before the throne of grace with this heavy heart, lifting up this burden of a troubling dream that has left a sense of spiritual oppression. First and foremost, we must address the name by which we approach the Father—Jesus Christ. There is power in the name of Jesus, for Scripture tells us, *"God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is only through the blood of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is His name that breaks every chain.
We rebuke the enemy’s attempts to bring fear, confusion, or torment through dreams or any other means. The Word of God declares, *"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Whatever darkness sought to invade your mind in that dream, we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. The enemy has no authority over a child of God who stands firm in faith. Jesus said, *"Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you"* (Luke 10:19 WEB).
We pray now for complete deliverance and cleansing. Heavenly Father, we ask that You would wash over this dear one with the blood of Jesus, purifying their mind, spirit, and soul from any residue of darkness. Your Word says, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
We also encourage seeking godly counsel and spending time in prayer and the Word to build spiritual strength. The psalmist writes, *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path"* (Psalm 119:105 WEB). Fill this heart with Your truth, Lord, so that the lies of the enemy have no foothold. Surround them with believers who can stand in agreement for their protection and peace.
Father, we thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust in Your promise that *"the one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it"* (1 Thessalonians 5:24 WEB). May this one walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won on the cross. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
