We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for deliverance. The enemy seeks to torment and enslave through demonic influences, but we stand on the authority of Christ who has already disarmed these powers and principalities. The Word declares in Colossians 2:15, "Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." We rebuke every demonic memory, sound, word, and title that has sought to take residence in your mind and spirit. These are not of God and have no place in the life of a believer.
The music of this world can often be a vessel for the enemy to plant seeds of bondage, but we serve a God who is greater. In 1 John 4:4, we are reminded, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world." We take authority over every demonic spirit, attack, possession, and influence in the mighty name of Jesus. We command them to flee and never return, for it is written in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
We also pray for the authors of this song, that their eyes may be opened to the truth of the Gospel. If they are unknowingly being used as vessels for darkness, we ask that the light of Christ penetrate their hearts. If they are willfully participating in these works, we pray for their repentance and salvation. The Lord desires that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
Heavenly Father, we ask that You surround this dear one with Your holy angels to guard their mind, heart, and spirit. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let Your presence be a shield against every fiery dart of the enemy. Renew their mind with Your Word, for it is written in Romans 12:2, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." May they find their refuge and strength in You alone.
We pray for complete deliverance and healing, Lord. Break every chain that has bound them, and let them walk in the freedom that Christ purchased on the cross. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be empowered to live a life that glorifies You.
Father, we thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We stand firm in faith, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in this precious one. Strengthen them, Lord, and let them rise above every attack of the enemy. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray and declare these things. Amen.
