We lift up this prayer with a heart of compassion and urgency, recognizing that salvation is the greatest gift one can receive. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that any soul can be saved, as Scripture declares, "For there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). We join in agreement with this prayer, asking the Lord to draw this individual—whose name we do not know—and all those in his life to Himself. The Word tells us, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him" (John 6:44), so we trust in God’s sovereign grace to move in their hearts.
Lord, we pray that if this person does not yet know You, You would open their eyes to see their need for a Savior. Convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and lead them to repentance. Soften their heart to receive the truth of the Gospel—that Jesus died for their sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). May they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, for "with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:9-10).
For those in his life who may also be lost, we ask that You would surround them with believers who can share the hope of Christ with them. Let Your light shine in their darkness, and may they turn from sin and toward You. We rebuke any deception of the enemy that would keep them from knowing You, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Father, we know that Your desire is for all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), so we ask that You would move mightily in their lives.
We also pray for wisdom and boldness for those who may have the opportunity to witness to them. Let Your love and truth be spoken in a way that pierces their hearts. May they see the emptiness of a life without Christ and the fullness of joy found only in Him. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love to bring them into Your family.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation and for the privilege of interceding on behalf of those who do not yet know You. We ask that You would break every chain of sin, unbelief, and hardness of heart in their lives. Pour out Your Spirit upon them, that they may be born again and experience the new life that is found in Christ alone. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.
