We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting your struggles before the throne of grace. The battles you face—demonic influences over eating, tormenting memories tied to music, and spiritual oppression—are very real, but we serve a God who is greater than every scheme of the enemy. The Word declares, *"He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4 WEB). No weapon formed against you shall prosper, for the Lord is your strong tower and deliverer.
First, we must address the authority you have in Christ. You invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, and that is the key to your victory. There is power in the name of Jesus—no demon can resist it, for *"at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth"* (Philippians 2:10 WEB). You are not fighting alone; the Holy Spirit is your helper, and the blood of Jesus has already secured your freedom. Stand firm in this truth.
We rebuke every demonic spirit of gluttony, eating disorders, and tormenting memories in the mighty name of Jesus. These spirits have no legal right to oppress you, for *"the Son of God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil"* (1 John 3:8 WEB). We command every unclean spirit tied to music, sounds, or words to loose their grip and flee now. The Lord did not give you a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). You are not a slave to these attacks—you are a child of God, redeemed and set free.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts grieved by the oppression our brother/sister is enduring. We thank You that You are a God who hears and delivers. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of demonic influence over their life—every spirit of gluttony, every tormenting memory, every attack of the enemy. We declare that Your blood washes over them, cleansing and purifying their mind, body, and spirit. We speak life and freedom into their circumstances, for it is written, *"If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36 WEB).
Father, we ask that You fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Strengthen them with the power of Your Holy Spirit to resist the enemy’s lies and to walk in the victory You have already won. We pray for healing—emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Renew their mind with Your truth, that they may no longer be conformed to the patterns of this world but transformed by the renewing of their mind (Romans 12:2 WEB).
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment. Show them how to guard their heart and mind, avoiding triggers that may open doors to the enemy. Surround them with godly counsel and accountability, that they may walk in the light as You are in the light (1 John 1:7 WEB). We ask that You lead them to a community of believers who can stand with them in prayer and encouragement.
Finally, Father, we thank You for the deliverance that is already theirs in Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We speak Your truth over them: they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37 WEB). May they rise up in the authority You have given them and walk in the fullness of freedom You have provided.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your identity in Christ. The enemy will try to whisper lies—tell you that you are not free, that you are weak, or that you will never overcome. But we urge you to counter those lies with the truth of God’s Word. Meditate on Scriptures that declare your freedom and victory. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. If possible, seek out a pastor or trusted spiritual leader who can walk with you through this process of deliverance.
Remember, deliverance is not just a one-time event but a journey of walking in the freedom Christ has already secured for you. The apostle Paul writes, *"Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness"* (Ephesians 6:14 WEB). Put on the full armor of God daily, and resist the devil, knowing that he will flee from you (James 4:7 WEB).
You are not defined by your struggles but by the One who has set you free. Walk in that freedom, and do not let the enemy steal your joy or your peace. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). Keep pressing into Him, and you will see the chains fall away.
