We lift up these two precious souls to You, Father, recognizing that salvation is found in no one else but Your Son, Jesus Christ. We are reminded of the words in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We pray that if these individuals do not yet know You, that Your Holy Spirit would convict their hearts, draw them to repentance, and lead them to place their faith in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of their sins.
Lord, we ask that You would open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel—that all have sinned and fall short of Your glory (Romans 3:23), but that You demonstrated Your love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). May they understand that salvation is not earned by works but is a free gift of Your grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). We pray they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
We also rebuke any deception or lies from the enemy that may be keeping them from surrendering their lives to You. We declare that the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, but we pray that the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ would shine in their hearts (2 Corinthians 4:4-6). May they turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to You, God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Jesus (Acts 26:18).
Father, we ask that You would surround these individuals with godly believers who can share the truth of Your Word with them and disciple them in their newfound faith. May they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18) and become bold witnesses for You.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name alone that we have access to You and can come boldly before Your throne of grace. Amen.
