We lift up this prayer with a heart for the lost, for it is written, "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). We join you in praying for ### and all those at ###, that their hearts may be softened to receive the truth of the Gospel.
First, we must remember that salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If ### or anyone else does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). We ask that God would open their eyes to the truth of His Word and draw them to Himself.
We also pray for boldness in the body of Christ to share the Gospel with those who do not know it. "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14 WEB). May we be faithful witnesses, speaking the truth in love, so that many may come to repentance.
Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of sin in the lives of those who are lost. If there are any who are trapped in immorality, idolatry, or rebellion, we pray that You would set them free by the power of Your Spirit. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that keep them bound and ask that You would replace those lies with Your truth.
We also lift up those who may be working at or visiting ###. May they encounter Your love through the kindness of believers and the conviction of Your Spirit. We pray that they would see their need for a Savior and turn to You in faith.
Father, we thank You for Your patience and mercy. We ask that You would move mightily in the hearts of those who do not yet know You, that they may experience the joy of salvation. May Your name be glorified as souls are added to Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
