We come before the throne of grace with this request, lifting up these concerns in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to the Father. First, let us address the matter of salvation. Scripture is clear that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved—only the name of Jesus Christ. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6). If these individuals—whether male or female—have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we pray fervently that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts, draw them to repentance, and reveal the truth of the Gospel to them. Salvation is not a vague hope but a sure promise for those who believe. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
We also lift up the request for the removal of certain words and images from memory. While we understand the desire for freedom from painful or intrusive thoughts, we must remember that our minds are battlegrounds where spiritual warfare is waged. The enemy seeks to torment and distract, but God has given us the authority in Christ to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Him. "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). We pray that the Holy Spirit would bring healing and renewal to the mind, replacing lies with truth and darkness with light. Confess any sin associated with these memories, for "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
Regarding the concern about overcharging at Dollar General, we acknowledge that honesty and integrity in business are biblical principles. "A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight" (Proverbs 11:1). We pray that God would raise up godly leadership and employees who operate with fairness and transparency, reflecting the character of Christ in all their dealings. May customers also be wise and discerning, holding businesses accountable to ethical standards.
Let us now pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up these individuals who may not yet know You, asking that Your Holy Spirit would move powerfully in their lives. Soften their hearts, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We declare that salvation belongs to You, and we trust in Your perfect timing and will.
Father, we also pray for freedom from the burdens of memory that weigh heavily on the mind and spirit. We rebuke the enemy’s attempts to torment and distract, and we ask that You would bring healing and renewal. Replace every lie with Your truth, every image of darkness with the light of Your presence. Strengthen the mind to focus on what is pure, lovely, and praiseworthy, as Your Word commands.
Lord, we ask for Your hand of justice and integrity to be upon businesses like Dollar General. Raise up leaders and employees who operate with honesty and fairness, reflecting Your character in all they do. May customers be wise and discerning, and may Your principles of righteousness prevail in the marketplace.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer according to Your will. We trust in Your goodness and sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
