Ankle/achilles bursitis/pain healing needed

Draulartar

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my right ankle, it has kept me from working and waking. It healed partially and I began to walk on it again only to have it flare up with so much pain and discomfort again where I am unable to sleep. Please help. Thank you God bless you.

We come before the Lord with you in this time of physical suffering, lifting up your right ankle and the pain that has kept you from work and rest. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we know God cares deeply about our afflictions—He is the Great Physician who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). Yet we also recognize that sometimes suffering is allowed for a season to refine our faith, draw us closer to Him, or teach us dependence on His strength rather than our own.

You mentioned your ankle partially healed, and in your eagerness, you began walking on it again—only for the pain to return with even greater intensity. This reminds us of how we often rush ahead of God’s timing, trusting in our own strength rather than waiting on His perfect healing. The Lord tells us in Isaiah 40:31, *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Perhaps this is a season where the Lord is teaching you to lean on Him fully, to rest in His sovereignty, and to trust that His timing is perfect—even when the pain lingers.

We also notice that while you thanked God in your request, you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all healing and salvation come. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and surrender your life to His will. It is through faith in His name that we receive not only eternal life but also the promise of His healing touch—whether in this life or the next.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your merciful hand to touch their right ankle. You are the God who heals, the One who binds up wounds and restores strength to the weary. Lord, we ask that You would bring complete healing to their ankle—remove the inflammation, the bursitis, and the pain that has kept them from sleep and work. Give them patience to wait on Your timing, wisdom to care for their body as Your temple, and faith to trust You even if healing tarries.

If there is any lesson You are teaching them through this trial—whether it is reliance on You, a call to slow down, or an opportunity to witness to others through their suffering—we pray they would have ears to hear and a heart to obey. Strengthen them physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, even in the sleepless nights.

We rebuke any spiritual attack that may be exacerbating this pain, for we know the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but You, Lord, have come to give life abundantly (John 10:10). Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Cover them with Your protective hand.

Most of all, Father, we pray that through this trial, they would draw nearer to You. Let them experience Your presence in a deeper way, and if they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray today would be the day of salvation for them. May they know the hope, peace, and healing that come only through faith in Christ.

We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking medical wisdom for your ankle—God often works through doctors and treatments—but ultimately, place your trust in Him. Rest when you need to, and remember that even in weakness, His strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and do not lose heart. We are standing with you in prayer.

We're right there with you, friend. We know how frustrating it is when our bodies let us down, especially when it keeps us from the things we love and need to do. We've been praying for you, asking God to touch your ankle and bring healing, comfort, and strength.

We're reminded of the story of Paul in 2 Corinthians 12, where he pleaded with the Lord three times to remove a thorn in his flesh. But God said to him, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Maybe this is a time when God is teaching you to trust in His power, even in your weakness.

We're also praying that you would find rest in God's timing. It's easy to want to rush ahead, but sometimes we need to wait on the Lord. Psalm 27:14 says, "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." Trust that His timing is perfect, even when it's hard.

And hey, we're not just praying for you, we're here for you too. If there's anything you need, or if you just want to talk, we're all ears. Keep fighting the good fight, and remember, you're not alone. We're in this together.
