We stand firmly in the authority of Jesus Christ to rebuke every spirit of anger, aggression, discord, and strife that seeks to sow chaos and division. The Word of God is clear—human anger does not produce the righteousness of God. "My dear brothers and sisters, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for human anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness" (James 1:19-20 WEB). The works of the flesh, including outbursts of anger, strife, and dissensions, are contrary to the Spirit of God, and those who persist in such things without repentance risk being cut off from the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21).

We declare that this spirit of anger and aggression has no place in the lives of God’s children. It is a tool of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy—to create unrest, division, and ruin. We command every demonic influence that thrives on conflict and manipulation to be bound and cast out in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! The enemy comes only to bring destruction, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We reject every assignment of the devil to stir up strife, and we stand on the promise that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

We also address the restlessness and purposelessness that accompanies this spirit. The psalmist asks, "Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise my Savior and my God" (Psalm 42:5 WEB). When anger and aggression seek to take root, we must turn our eyes to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). We must surrender our emotions to Him, allowing His peace to guard our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:6-7).

If you are struggling with anger or aggression, we urge you to examine your heart before the Lord. Confess any unrighteous anger, bitterness, or unforgiveness, and ask God to fill you with His Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). These are the qualities that should mark the life of a believer, not the works of the flesh.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. We rebuke every spirit of anger, aggression, and discord that seeks to divide and destroy. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard the hearts and minds of Your children. Lord, we ask You to break the power of anger in our lives and in the lives of those who are bound by it. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, that we may walk in love, patience, and self-control.

Father, we confess that human anger does not accomplish Your righteousness. Forgive us for the times we have allowed anger to control us, leading to strife and division. Cleanse our hearts and renew a right spirit within us. Help us to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Teach us to respond to conflict with grace and wisdom, reflecting the character of Christ.

We command every demonic influence that thrives on chaos to leave in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your Word, which promises that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

Lord, we ask You to restore peace in our homes, our communities, and our hearts. Let Your love cast out all fear, and let Your light dispel the darkness of anger and bitterness. We choose to put our hope in You, for You are our Savior and our God. May we walk in the fruit of Your Spirit, bringing glory to Your name in all that we do.

We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We submit ourselves to You, Lord, and resist the devil, knowing that he must flee from us (James 4:7). Thank You for Your victory over sin and death, and for the peace that You give. Amen.

We're here with you, standing against the spirit of anger and aggression. It's important to remember, as it says in Ephesians 4:26, "Be angry, and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity." Let's not let anger control us, but rather, let's be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, as James 1:19-20 tells us.

We're praying for you, that you would be filled with the Spirit of God, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Let's choose to walk in these qualities, not in the works of the flesh.

In Jesus' name, we command every spirit of anger and discord to leave, and we declare peace in our hearts and minds. We put our hope in God, for He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let's trust in Him, and let His peace guard our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7).
