We join you in lifting up this individual in prayer, trusting in the power of Jesus' name and the covering of His precious blood.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your divine protection and guidance for this individual. Thank You, Lord, for Your protecting hand that kept him safe from harm's way last night. We ask that You continue to cover him with the blood of Jesus, from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. Guide his steps and grant him journey mercy wherever he goes, in Jesus' name.
Father, we ask that You calm his nerves and draw him closer to You. Grant him the grace to reflect deeply on his life and his relationship with You. We pray that he will turn away from lukewarm faith and reunite with You, dear Lord. Heal him from ADHD, and stir up a hunger and thirst for Your Word. Help him to read and listen to the Bible, and to pray continually. May he develop a strong, personal relationship with You, not just in words, but in deeds and truth.
Lord, we also lift up his job to You. In this season of uncertainty and massive layoffs, we ask that You protect his job and give him discernment and wisdom. Expose any traps set against him at his construction site, and preserve his life as he works in the heat of the summer.
Father, we stand in agreement, believing and declaring that he will walk seriously with Jesus again. May he not just say he is a Christian, but may his life reflect a true desire to know You more and live according to Your will.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage him to hold firmly to the promise in Jeremiah 29:13 WEB: "You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart." True relationship with God comes when we sincerely seek Him with all our heart, turning away from lip service and truly desiring to know Him and live for Him.
We also remind him of the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33-34 WEB: "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient." As he seeks God first, trusting in His protection and provision, God will take care of his needs according to His will.
Lastly, we admonish him to put on the whole armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB, to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. This includes the shield of faith, with which he will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
