### and ###

It is a typical view: Is something amiss there? Who is championing the cause? The Lord! The Lord Jesus! Is ### and ###’s commitment to the cause eternal—in words that reject the Bible, and in words that embrace it?

We hear your concern, and it is a weighty one. When we see those around us, even those who profess faith, walking in ways that contradict the clear teachings of Scripture, our hearts should indeed be stirred to prayer and action. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only true Champion of righteousness, the One who upholds God’s Word without compromise. His commitment to the truth is eternal, unchanging, and perfectly aligned with the Father’s will (Hebrews 13:8, John 14:6).

The Bible warns us that in the last days, many will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons (1 Timothy 4:1). We see this happening when individuals or movements reject God’s design for marriage, sexuality, and morality, whether through outright rebellion or by twisting Scripture to fit cultural trends. The Word of God is not a suggestion; it is the unshakable foundation of truth (Matthew 24:35, Psalm 119:89).

If and are professing believers, we must pray fervently that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts and bring them into alignment with God’s Word. If they are rejecting the Bible’s authority, we must lovingly yet firmly stand for truth, knowing that friendship with the world is enmity with God (James 4:4). We cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24).

Let us pray together in the authority of Jesus’ name:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieved by the compromise we see in the world and even among those who claim Your name. Lord, Your Word is truth, and Your commands are for our good. We ask that You would open the eyes of and to see Your design for marriage, sexuality, and holiness. Break through any deception, pride, or worldly influence in their hearts. If they are truly Yours, draw them back to repentance and obedience. If they have never surrendered to Christ, reveal Yourself to them in power and love.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of rebellion and deception that seeks to lead Your people astray. We declare that Your Word stands forever, and we choose to stand on it, no matter the cost. Give us courage to speak the truth in love, to pray without ceasing, and to trust You to bring revival and restoration. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may Your people walk in holiness.

We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and the only name through which we have access to You. Amen.

To and , if you are reading this: We love you enough to tell you the truth. The world’s ways lead to destruction, but God’s ways lead to life (Proverbs 14:12). Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15). True love for God is demonstrated through obedience. We urge you to examine your hearts, repent of any sin, and surrender fully to Christ. He is faithful to forgive and restore (1 John 1:9). If you have never placed your faith in Jesus, now is the time. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and commit your life to following Him. There is no other way to the Father (John 14:6).

We hear your concern for and, the way their words can both embrace and reject Scripture, and the uncertainty that stirs in you. You’ve already leaned on the anchor of this: the Lord Jesus is the One who champions His own cause. He is not panicked by mixed signals, and He knows the heart behind every word. Faith is not a flawless speech; it’s a living, sometimes messy, reliance on Christ that grows through testing.

Because His hold on them is stronger than our perception of their commitment, we can rest while still caring deeply. One simple, steady thing we can do is continue to pray, not with anxious scrutiny, but with quiet trust that the Spirit is at work in ways we cannot measure. You might also find that simply loving them without pressure, being a consistent, grace-filled presence, opens doors that direct questioning cannot.

Let’s bring them before the Lord now:

Jesus, You see and completely, their assent and their struggle. Strengthen whatever is truly Yours within them, and untangle every contradiction by Your patient, wise Spirit. Give our friend freedom from the weight of trying to judge their hearts, and instead grant peace to entrust them to You. In Your name, amen.

You have laid bare a matter that should trouble every soul that names the name of Jesus. When words that seem to embrace the Scriptures and words that flatly reject them proceed from the same mouth, something is indeed amiss, and that something lies in the heart’s wavering allegiance. The Lord Jesus Christ is the sole Champion of His own cause; He needs no defender who will speak for Him with a forked tongue. If a man’s commitment rises and falls like the tide, one hour building up the truth, the next tearing it down, then let him search himself, lest his whole profession prove a lie.

Communion with Christ is a tender plant and will not grow where the soil is drenched with half-heartedness. I have learned this: if you utter but half a word derogatory of Holy Scripture, your fellowship with Jesus evaporates like mist before the sun. The Spirit’s own words are the pathway along which the Savior meets us and walks with us; to despise them is to despise Him. You ask who champions the cause? The Lord, always the Lord, and He does not need soldiers who salute with their lips while their hearts sever the very sword of His mouth. Our fellowship with Jesus flows deepest along the channels of His own truth, and where that truth is treated as a thing to be picked up and cast down at whim, there is neither a right finding of Him nor a right following after Him.

Yet be not amazed that this battle rages within; it is the old warfare of the flesh against the Spirit. Philip thought he had found Jesus, but the Spirit wrote the record that Jesus found Philip first. So it is with all who belong to Him. Christ takes hold of a man before that man can truly take hold of Christ. And when He lays hold, He does so that we may no longer blow hot and cold, no longer honor the Book today and mock it tomorrow. He calls us to simplicity, the simplicity that is in Christ Jesus. A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways, and how can he champion a cause when his own feet are set upon two paths? Let the fear of this bring you to your knees. We cannot serve the cause of King Jesus by borrowing the world’s weapons of compromise and vain philosophy.

And what is the root of so much speaking out of both sides of the mouth? Is it not a hatred without cause, or a love that has grown cold? The world hated Him though He did nothing but good; many still hate Him today, and they show it by trifling with His revelation. If we truly love Him, the love will bind our tongues to speak only that which makes His heart glad. The name of Jesus is the sweetest balm and the surest foundation; a heart that truly rests in Him cannot long endure the stench of its own faithless words. So look well to your motives: is there not a secret cause that leads you to handle the Word deceitfully? Search it out; confess it as sin; and come again to the simplicity of trusting all that God has spoken.

Let no one suppose that being a champion means swelling the ranks of those who wear the badge of orthodoxy but speak lightly of the very words the Master declared could not pass away. The true cause is righteousness and truth, and the banner over it is love, holy, undiluted love, to the person of Jesus. If your commitment be eternal, it will be sealed by a reverent trembling at every syllable that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Go then, and make your words correspond to your professed trust. Let the mouth that praises Him be also the mouth that humbly receives all His counsel. And do this not in your own strength, for you have none; lean upon Him who is able to keep you from stumbling. May the Lord cause His face to shine upon you, and so unite your heart to fear His name that from this day forward your tongue shall be a pen of a ready writer, speaking only those things that become sound doctrine and bring honor to Jesus. So shall the cause be championed not by might nor by power, but by the Spirit of the Lord.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The Lord Jesus Christ is indeed the champion of every true cause, but we must examine carefully what cause we are championing with Him. You ask if something is amiss, and if the commitment of these ones is eternal, whether in words that reject Scripture or embrace it. Let us be sober and clear. If any words reject the holy Scriptures, they are not from the Lord, for He said, "Thy word is truth." A cause that twists or denies what God has plainly spoken stands condemned already, no matter how fervent the devotion appears.

But if words embrace the Bible, yet the life contradicts it, what then? Faith without a right life avails nothing for salvation. As I have often said, though a man believe rightly on the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, if he lead not a right life, his faith cannot save him. The Lord Himself warned, "Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven." So we must ask: does this commitment bear the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God?

Or is it a shadow of pleasure, a mockery like the lusts that fill the loins with lies? True commitment is girt about with truth, with temperance, with orderly behavior. I long for all to have that warm affection which is in Christ, not a zeal without knowledge or discernment. Examine, then, what spirit drives these words.

If they reject the clear commands of God, concerning marriage as the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, concerning purity outside that bed, then their cause is not the Lord's, and their words, however passionate, are a lie. But if they embrace Scripture, let them prove it by a life that is sincere and void of offense unto the day of Christ. For the wrath of God abides on those who hold the truth in unrighteousness. Let us not be deceived: the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ is our only glory, and that cross calls us to die to sin, not to bless what He forbids.

The real question is not whether the right words are being used, but whether the heart has been fully surrendered to the Lord Jesus. Something is amiss when a cause becomes attached to people or to the praise of a group rather than to Christ alone. The one who plants and the one who waters are nothing; the Lord gives the increase. He is the champion of His own cause, and He will not share that place with another.

A true commitment is not temporary emotion or religious language. It is a full turning of the will to the Father, the kind of commitment that holds nothing back and keeps no alternative in case the road grows hard. God calls us away from the love of the world and every idol, to come apart and be separate from what is unclean. He sees when love is divided.

So a commitment cannot be eternal while rejecting the Bible, because Jesus Christ is the Word and His Spirit never leads away from what He has spoken. But using biblical words is not proof of a full commitment either. The early church was hurt deeply by hypocrisy, people pretending to give everything while holding something back. King Josiah made a wholehearted commitment, yet many others followed only outwardly because it was expected. God is not satisfied with outward conformity.

Let the Lord search the heart. Ask Him to show any place where words are strong but surrender is weak. True strength lies not in an outward sign but in lifelong consecration to God. A commitment that rests in His hands will last, because it is kept by Him and not by human effort or the approval of people.

At the Great White Throne Judgment, there is no salvation, only condemnation. The Bible describes it as the final judgment for the wicked (Revelation 20:11–15). Those who rejected Christ in this life will not be given a second chance; faith must happen in this life, and after death comes...
