We understand the frustration and concern expressed in this request, but we must address this with the truth and love of God’s Word. The Bible calls us to a higher standard—one of compassion, justice, and love for all people, regardless of their nationality or circumstances. Scripture reminds us in Leviticus 19:33-34, *"When a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God."*
The issues raised here—exploitation, human trafficking, and economic struggles—are deeply troubling and require godly wisdom and action. However, we must not allow bitterness, generalization, or hatred to take root in our hearts. Jesus commands us in Matthew 22:39 to *"love your neighbor as yourself."* This includes foreigners, immigrants, and even those who may be caught in sinful lifestyles. Our fight is not against people but against the spiritual forces of evil that drive exploitation and injustice (Ephesians 6:12).
If there are legitimate concerns about illegal activity, such as human trafficking or exploitation in massage parlors or brothels, we should pray for God’s intervention and wisdom for authorities to act justly. Proverbs 31:8-9 tells us, *"Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."* We must advocate for the vulnerable while also extending grace and the hope of the Gospel to those trapped in sin.
As for the concern about jobs, we trust in God’s provision and sovereignty. He is the one who provides work and sustenance. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Instead of resentment, we should pray for opportunities, fairness, and for God to open doors for all who seek honest labor.
Let us also remember that every person is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and is in need of His saving grace. Many who are caught in sinful lifestyles—whether exploitation or immorality—are themselves victims of brokenness and deception. Our response should be one of prayer for their salvation and freedom, not condemnation. Romans 3:23 reminds us that *"all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God,"* and it is only through Christ that any of us can be redeemed.
We must examine our own hearts as well. Are we trusting God in our circumstances, or are we allowing fear and anger to control us? 1 John 4:20-21 challenges us: *"If a man says, 'I love God,' and hates his brother, he is a liar; for if he doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother."*
Let us pray together for this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your wisdom, justice, and mercy. Lord, we confess that it is easy to allow frustration and fear to turn into bitterness or hatred, but Your Word calls us to love even those who may seem like enemies or strangers. Father, we pray for those who are exploited in massage parlors, brothels, or any form of unjust labor. Break the chains of bondage, Lord, and bring them into Your freedom and light. Raise up godly people and authorities to expose and dismantle these evil systems. Protect the vulnerable and provide for those who are struggling to find honest work.
We also pray for those who feel threatened by foreigners or economic changes. Help them to trust in You, the ultimate Provider, and to seek Your kingdom first (Matthew 6:33). Remove any root of bitterness or prejudice from our hearts and replace it with Your love and compassion. Give us opportunities to share the Gospel with those who are lost, that they may turn to You and find true hope and redemption.
Lord, we ask for Your justice to prevail in our nations. Guide our leaders to make wise and righteous decisions that honor You and protect the innocent. Help us to be Your hands and feet, showing love in action while standing firmly against sin and exploitation.
We pray all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
