Let us first remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We understand that you are facing difficulties with someone who is disorganized and unpredictable, which is affecting your schedule and your ability to keep your word to others. We are reminded in 1 Corinthians 14:33 WEB, "for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace." It is important to maintain order and reliability in our lives.
We are also admonished in Matthew 5:37 WEB,
"But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes' and your 'No' be 'No.' Whatever is more than these is of the evil one."
It is clear that you value commitment and integrity.
However, we must also remember that God calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves, even when they are different from us. In 1 Peter 4:8 WEB, it is written, "Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, because love covers a multitude of sins."
Let us pray for wisdom and guidance in handling this situation.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your will and guidance. We pray for our brother who is facing challenges with someone who is disorganized and unpredictable. Grant him the wisdom to navigate this situation with grace and love. Help him to maintain his schedule and commitments, while also showing compassion and patience.
Lord, we ask that You work in the heart of this person, bringing order and stability into her life. We pray that their interactions would be guided by Your peace and wisdom.
We also ask that You help our brother to remain steadfast in his commitments, remembering that his 'Yes' should be 'Yes' and his 'No' should be 'No.'
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
While we pray for this person to change or move away from your life, there is no scriptural basis for casting another person out like the demons into the pigs. That was a very specific situation where Jesus had authority over the demons and was not a model for how to deal with difficult people. Instead, we are called to love, pray for, and bless those who may cause us difficulties.
In Matthew 5:44 WEB, Jesus says,
"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"
We understand that this is a challenging situation, but we encourage you to continue seeking God's will and responding in love and patience.
