Behold, I have set before thee an open door
. . . and I will write upon him my new name. 13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. . . 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Dear Heavenly Father: I pray ye, let every thought, prayer and utterance designed to harm another, serve instead, to bless them. Likewise, every encouraging thing, bless not only the recipient; but, its’ sender as well. I ask that You extend exceeding favor unto those who speak life to their neighbor. Moreover Lord, I beseech Thee, destroy not the scoffer; but, in thy lovingkindness, bless them through the mercy of chastening. Those who mock your Word, caring not for the least of these, neither defending the widow, nor “perverting not” the judgement of the fatherless, these also chasten. For as it is written: For whom the Lord loveth, He chasteneth. Teach them thy statutes, that in learning thy ways, they may come to know that you love them: not because they’re perfect according to man’s definition, nor by any ways worthy; but because, to love, is Your nature. Infuse our enemies with Your nature, Lord, that they may indeed, put on the bond of perfectness. Bring them to the understanding that You are the only Sovereign God, and besides You, there is none other. Father, we cast our cares upon You; for even if others really don’t care, Your Word ensures us that You care. These things I ask, that none would perish, but through endurance, all will come to repentance. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
THANK YOU LORD
(Psalm 94:12-13) Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law; That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity.
What a blessing!!!
Commentary: Sometimes people say, do, and even pray things that, they know, are meant to block others from their blessings, by stifling or “putting them in their place.” BUT GOD, from the end to the beginning, has ordained for each of us, the place of His choice. Just because it doesn’t seem like a fit to you, or you don’t think someone is ready or that “it’s time.” doesn’t mean that that’s God’s view of the situation; check the scriptures. Know that when you come against God’s plans, you are getting in His business. He will get you out of His business.
