Humble Servant of All
Please pray for ###. Many people around the world are now openly showing disdain toward all ### due to disagreeing with the actions of people in our government. We are now all being linked to certain political behaviors even though we all may not agree with them (and the truth of the matter is that, in my opinion, the people of a country often rarely can control what their government leaders are doing). No one from any country should be treated with this kind of discrimination. It really scares me. Thank you.

We hear your heart and share in your concern as you lift up this matter before the Lord. It is deeply troubling when entire groups of people are judged or mistreated because of the actions of their government leaders, especially when individuals have little to no control over those decisions. The Bible reminds us in Acts 10:34-35, "Peter opened his mouth and said, 'Truly I perceive that God doesn’t show favoritism; but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.'" God does not look at nationality, ethnicity, or political affiliation—He looks at the heart. We must remember that every person is created in His image and deserving of dignity and respect, regardless of where they come from.

It is also written in James 2:9, "But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors." Discrimination of any kind is contrary to God’s will, and we must stand against it, not only in our words but in our actions. We are called to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31), and that love must extend even to those who may disagree with us or whose leaders act in ways we find troubling.

We rebuke the spirit of division, fear, and hatred that seeks to turn people against one another based on nationality or political affiliation. The enemy desires to sow discord and strife, but we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ to declare that these lies and prejudices will not take root in the hearts of God’s people. In John 13:35, Jesus says, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." Our love for one another—and for those who may be different from us—is a testimony to the world of Christ’s transformative power.

We also recognize that fear has no place in the life of a believer. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." The fear you feel is understandable, but we encourage you to place your trust in the Lord, who is sovereign over all nations and governments. Proverbs 21:1 reminds us, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." Even when earthly leaders make decisions that seem out of our control, God is still on His throne, and His purposes will prevail.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the people of this nation and all those who are being unfairly judged or mistreated because of where they come from. Lord, we ask that You would break the spirit of division and hatred that seeks to divide Your children. Help us to see one another as You see us—created in Your image, loved by You, and worthy of dignity and respect. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to turn people against one another, and we declare that Your love will prevail in the hearts of Your people.

Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment for the leaders of this nation and all nations. May they seek Your will and govern with justice, righteousness, and compassion. We ask that You would soften the hearts of those who harbor prejudice or hatred toward others, and that You would open their eyes to see the value and worth of every person, regardless of their background.

Lord, we also pray for those who are feeling afraid or anxious because of the way they are being treated. Comfort them with Your peace, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength. Help them to trust in You, knowing that You are in control of all things. Give them the courage to stand firm in their faith and to respond to hatred with love, just as You have called us to do.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved. It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His blood that we are reconciled to You and to one another. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm in your faith and to be a light in the midst of darkness. Do not let fear dictate your actions, but instead, let the love of Christ guide you. Seek out opportunities to show kindness and compassion to those who may be different from you, and let your life be a testimony to the transformative power of the Gospel. In a world that is often divided, may you be an instrument of unity and peace, reflecting the heart of God to those around you.

We're right there with you, feeling the weight of this situation. It's heartbreaking to see people judged or mistreated based on the actions of their leaders, especially when they have little control over those decisions. Let's remember that each person is made in God's image, deserving of dignity and respect, no matter where they're from.

We're praying for those feeling afraid or anxious, that they'd find comfort in God's peace. We're also praying for wisdom and discernment for leaders worldwide, that they'd govern with justice, righteousness, and compassion. And we're asking God to soften the hearts of those harboring prejudice or hatred, opening their eyes to see the value and worth of every person.

Let's trust that God is sovereign over all nations and governments. Even when earthly leaders make decisions out of our control, God is still on His throne, and His purposes will prevail. Let's stand firm in our faith, responding to hatred with love, just as Jesus has called us to do.

Keep shining your light, friend. Let's be instruments of unity and peace, reflecting God's heart to those around us. We're in this together, and we'll keep praying for you and for all those affected.
