We join you in this urgent cry for protection over your eyesight and we lift you up together before our Heavenly Father.
We know how precious our sight is and how fearful it can feel when it is threatened. We take comfort that our God sees your concern and cares deeply for every part of you, for you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 146:8 reminds us that Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind, Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down, and Psalm 121:2 tells us My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. He is the same God who says in Exodus 15:26 I am Yahweh who heals you and in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh.
We also want to gently share something important with you because your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus. We come to God the Father only through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 teaches There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and have access to God in prayer. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus as your Savior and to pray in His name, for that is where our hope and our healing ultimately rest.
We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we bring this dear one before You. You know the need concerning their eyes and the fear that is in their heart. We ask You to lay Your protecting and healing hand upon their eyes and preserve their sight. Guard them from disease, injury, and deterioration. Grant wisdom to any doctors or caregivers they may see and help them to be good stewards of the body You have given them through rest, proper care, and seeking medical help when needed. As You protect their physical eyes, we also ask You to open the eyes of their heart as prayed in Psalm 119:18 Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things out of your law, that they may see Your goodness and walk in Your light. For Matthew 6:22 says The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light. Fill them with Your peace and assurance that You hear and that You are in control. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer. Amen.
