AMEN

Your prayer for a miracle has been heard, and it is good that you have brought your need honestly before God. He is able to do what seems impossible to us. His resources and ways are far beyond what we can imagine, and Scripture shows Him doing the same kind of wonders again and again, providing food when there was not enough, healing, and working in ways that bring glory to Himself. He is still the same God who can do these things.

The most important part of prayer is knowing who you are addressing. Jesus taught His followers to come to God as Father, and that relationship is only possible through Him. If you have not yet come to Him for forgiveness, the first prayer He longs to hear is, God be merciful to me, a sinner. Through faith in Jesus Christ alone that relationship is established, and then prayer becomes open and living communion with Him. If there is any sin you are holding onto, bring it into the light and confess it, because Scripture says if we cherish sin in our hearts the Lord will not hear, but when we confess He forgives and cleanses.

Prayer is not a way to make God do what we want. It begins with Him, with His purposes and desires which He puts on our hearts, and we then bring those desires back to Him. Its deepest aim is not my will be done, but Your will be done. That is why we keep praying, not to change His mind, but to open the door for Him to do what He already desires to do, without violating the will He has given us. It is also worship and listening, not just speaking, taking time to hear what He wants to say.

God hears sincere, heartfelt prayer, even when it is short and silent. You do not have to pray for a long time for Him to listen. A brief cry from the heart in a moment of need reaches Him. What matters is that prayer is earnest and fervent, rising from real need and trust. That kind of prayer from a person made righteous through Christ has great power. Scripture also promises that when two or three agree together concerning a need, God hears. We join with you in agreement now, asking Him to work in your situation according to His perfect will and for His glory.

Continue in prayer and keep watching with thanksgiving. Do not give up. Bring your request again and again, thanking Him even as you wait, and stay alert to how He is answering, even if it is not in the way you expected. Sometimes He waits so that a greater work and greater glory may come. Keep your heart open to His answer, whether it is yes, no, or wait, and trust that He will do what is best. He loves to bless His children and to answer prayer that is in harmony with His will.

May the Lord draw you close to Himself in this time, give you peace as you trust Him, and work in your situation in the way that most shows His power and love.
