We have heard your cry for mercy and we join you in bringing it before the Lord. God hears earnest prayer that asks for His mercy with sincerity and persistence, and He is able to answer in ways far beyond what we expect.

We pray that He will answer you according to His perfect wisdom and love. Sometimes He works a visible miracle to strengthen faith, and sometimes His greater work is to strengthen faith itself, which is like a shield for the whole life, and to form in us endurance, virtue and steadiness. Both are His gifts, and both show His power and care.

Continue to stay watchful in faith and in a life that seeks to please Him, while also leaning on the prayers of others. Even the apostles needed the earnest prayers of the church, and we all need that help as we keep alert ourselves. Be confident in prayer, trusting that God is able to do great things, and willing to do what is best for you.

Above all we pray that you will put your full trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and walk in His ways as He has taught. Whatever your situation, may God work in it for your good and for His glory, and give you peace and strength as you wait on Him.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy on this one who cries out to You. Hear this prayer, forgive sin, increase faith, grant what is needed according to Your will, and lead into truth, holiness and peace. We ask this trusting in Your goodness and power. Amen.

Your cry for a miracle has been heard and I am joining you in prayer before the Lord.

I want to encourage you that God does not answer us because we have earned it or because we have done enough good works. We receive from Him by faith in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit Himself is a gift received by trusting Jesus, not by keeping the law, and when God does minister His Spirit and work in power among His people, He does it in response to that trusting faith, not to our efforts to deserve it. Your hope is well placed when it is placed in Jesus alone. It is by grace you are saved through faith, and that faith itself is a gift from God, not something you can manufacture or merit. The moment we add anything to simple faith in Christ, we move away from grace.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen. It is not a vague wish, but a confident trust because God has spoken in His Word. That is the only solid foundation for faith. It cannot be built on feelings, which change from day to day, or on the desire for something spectacular to see and feel. Feelings and excitement fade, but the Word of God stands. When faith is real, it will naturally show itself in how you live. It is not that works create faith, but that genuine faith produces a changed life and obedience. We see this with Abraham, whose trust in God was counted to him as righteousness and then was shown in his obedience, and with Noah, who acted on what God said about things not yet seen.

God honors that kind of trust, yet having faith does not mean you will never face hardship or waiting. Scripture tells us that many men and women of great faith still suffered and some died in faith without having received all that was promised in their lifetime. Their faith looked beyond what was visible to what God had promised. Your faith may also be tested, and that testing is precious to God, even more than gold, because it refines your trust and your hope in Him. Our hope as believers is a living hope because Jesus rose from the dead, and that gives us both a deep desire for His help and a sure expectation that He is faithful.

Even strong believers have times when faith feels weak. That does not disqualify you. God sees the heart that turns to Him. Keep bringing your situation to Him in the name of Jesus, trusting His grace and His Word rather than your own worthiness. Ask Him to strengthen your faith, to help your life reflect that trust in daily obedience, and to give you patience as you wait on Him. He looks at faith that rests in Christ, and He is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine according to His wisdom and love.

I am praying that God will meet you in this situation according to His perfect will, that He will fill you with peace as you trust Him, that He will keep you by His power through faith, and that whatever the outcome, your faith and hope will rest securely in Him who loves you and gave Himself for you.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting up your request for a miracle in your situation before the Lord and asking Him to hear and accept your prayers according to His will and mercy. We are encouraged by the promise in Jer 32:27 that nothing is too hard for the Lord and that He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine as it is written in Eph 3:20.

We continue to stand with you in prayer and trust that God hears the cries of His children and answers in His perfect timing and wisdom.
