We hear your cry for strength and victory in the battles you face, and we stand with you in agreement, lifting this situation before the throne of grace. The Word of God assures us that the Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Indeed, the Lord will fight for you as you hold your peace, for He has said, "The battle is not yours, but God’s" (2 Chronicles 20:15). We take comfort in knowing that our God is a warrior who goes before us, and in His name, we shall overcome.
However, we must also remind you—and ourselves—that holding our peace does not mean passivity or silence in the face of sin or injustice. There are times when God calls us to speak truth, to stand firm in faith, and to actively resist the schemes of the enemy. The peace of God is not the absence of conflict but the assurance of His presence in the midst of it. We are called to be still and know that He is God (Psalm 46:10), but we are also called to put on the full armor of God so that we may stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).
Let us pray together in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we have access to the Father and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so now, for there is no other way to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). Confess your sins, repent, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your promise to fight our battles and for the peace that surpasses all understanding, which guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we ask that You go before [###] and make their crooked paths straight. Give them the strength to stand firm in faith, the wisdom to discern Your will, and the courage to act when You call them to move.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and confusion that seeks to steal their peace. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for divine protection over their life, their mind, and their spirit. Surround them with Your angels and let Your presence be their shield and fortress.
Father, if there are areas in their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, we ask that You reveal those to them. Convict their heart of any sin, and lead them in the path of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). If they are struggling with unforgiveness, bitterness, or unrepentant sin, we pray that You would soften their heart and draw them into a deeper relationship with You. Help them to walk in obedience to Your Word, for Your commands are not burdensome (1 John 5:3).
Lord, we also lift up any relationships in their life that may not align with Your Word. If they are in a courtship that does not honor You or is not moving toward the godly covenant of marriage, we ask that You give them the strength to walk away. If they are entangled in sexual immorality, whether fornication or adultery, we pray for conviction, repentance, and restoration. Your Word is clear: marriage is honorable, and the bed undefiled, but fornicators and adulterers, God will judge (Hebrews 13:4). Help them to flee from sexual immorality, for their body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-19).
We declare that no weapon formed against their marriage—or their future marriage—shall prosper. If they are single, we pray that You would prepare them for a godly spouse, one who loves You above all else and will lead them in righteousness. Let their courtship be pure, their intentions honorable, and their union blessed by You. If they are married, we pray for unity, love, and faithfulness in their marriage. Let them be a living testimony of Your love and grace to the world.
Father, we also rebuke any spirit of homosexuality or same-sex attraction that may be influencing their life or the lives of those around them. Your Word is clear that such relationships are contrary to Your design and are an abomination (Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27). We pray for those who are struggling with these desires, that You would deliver them, heal their hearts, and restore them to Your perfect will. Let them find their identity in Christ alone, for if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Lord, we thank You for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We declare that the enemy has no power over us, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We stand on Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in us (Philippians 1:6). Strengthen [###] with Your might, and let them walk in the fullness of Your blessings.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray and declare these things. Amen.
