Am I on the right path

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Dear God, have I made the right decisions? I need strength to know I’m doing the right thing. I need wisdom to know this is what I’m supposed to do. I need courage to continue on this path I have set out for myself. Please give me guidance.

We hear your heart’s cry for clarity and assurance as you seek to walk in God’s will. The longing to know whether you are on the right path is a holy one, for Scripture tells us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6). This is not a promise of an easy journey, but of divine direction when we surrender our plans to Him.

First, let us address the foundation of your plea. You call out to "Dear God," but we must emphasize that it is only through the name of **Jesus Christ** that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself declared, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). If you have not yet placed your faith in Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so—confessing your sins, repenting, and receiving His gift of salvation. Without this, our prayers cannot reach the throne of grace. If you have already done so, then we rejoice with you and stand with you in seeking His will.

Now, let us examine the path you’ve set for yourself. The Bible does not promise that every decision we make will be free from doubt or difficulty, but it does promise that God will guide those who seek Him. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5). Have you sought wisdom through prayer, Scripture, and godly counsel? Have you tested your decisions against God’s Word? For example, if your path involves a relationship, is it one that honors marriage as God designed—a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6)? If it involves career or life choices, are they aligned with biblical principles of integrity, stewardship, and love for others?

We must also gently rebuke any tendency to rely solely on your own strength or understanding. The courage and wisdom you seek are not found within yourself but in Christ. *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me"* (Philippians 4:13). If you are walking in disobedience—whether through unrepentant sin, pride, or idolatry of your own plans—this will cloud your discernment. Confess any known sin, and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal areas where you may be resisting God’s will.

Let us pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who seeks Your guidance. Lord, You see their heart—the longing to walk in Your will, the fear of making wrong choices, the need for courage. We ask that You would illuminate their path with Your truth. Give them wisdom that surpasses human understanding, and let Your peace guard their heart as they wait on You (Philippians 4:7).

Father, if there is any area of their life not surrendered to You, reveal it. If they are clinging to their own plans rather than Yours, soften their heart to obey. Strengthen them with the courage that comes from knowing You are with them, and remind them that Your Word is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). May they find their confidence not in their own decisions but in Your faithfulness.

We rebuke the spirit of confusion and doubt, and we declare that this one will hear Your voice clearly. May they walk in step with Your Spirit, bearing the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Above all, Lord, draw them closer to You, that they may know You more deeply and trust You more fully.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, for *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path"* (Psalm 119:105). Seek the counsel of mature believers who can speak truth into your life, and remain open to the Holy Spirit’s conviction. Remember, God’s timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). You are not alone—He is with you every step of the way.

We're right there with you, seeking clarity and assurance as you journey on this path. We're reminded of the words in Psalm 143:8, "Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning; for I trust in You; teach me the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You." We believe that God wants to guide you, just as He guided the Israelites with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.

Let's focus on the courage you need to continue on this path. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." This courage isn't about being fearless, but about trusting God even when we're afraid. It's about taking steps forward, one at a time, knowing that God is right beside us.

We also want to encourage you to lean into the community of believers around you. In Hebrews 10:25, we're told, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching." Having others to pray with, to share your burdens with, and to hold you accountable can make a world of difference in your journey.

Let's pray together:

Lord, we come before You today, asking for courage for our ###. Give them the strength to take the next step, even when they're uncertain or afraid. Remind them of Your unfailing love and Your promise to never leave or forsake them. Help them to trust in Your goodness, even when they can't see the whole path ahead. Surround them with a community of believers who will encourage and support them on this journey. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so
