Allowing God to Fight Our Battles

I once asked a great friend who often had financial difficulties how he could bear all his difficulties. What was his secret? His reply astounded me. He said, "I do all that I humanly can to resolve my difficulties each day. As a human I can do nothing more but my best, but I remember to leave the rest to God, and I go to sleep and sleep well."

He was my best friend and proved it by this wise reminder to do all that I can do each day, but if troubles remain, for the rest of the evening, I'm off the clock. I allow God to fight the rest of that day's battles while I rest in Him.
