I am a born again Christian since age 9. Yes, I really understood and knew what I was doing
when I was baptized. I am going through a rough time. Sometimes that is what this life is.
But the best is yet to come. The most important thing that my grandparents gave me in my
growing up was reinforcing my faith in Jesus Christ and how important that relationship is.
That is why I feel that I had the advantage over other children and teens that did not have
their faith reinforced. Advantage meaning, I think it makes me a stronger person, more sure
of what I should do or not do. It has helped me to make the proper friends. Sometimes my
friends have not been so many. But the ones I have had were good people. Not all my
friends have been Christian. Some were "searching" and "lost," yet I remained myself (in
Christ) when talking to them. Some ignored me, thought I was talking silly stuff, but some
of my words and beliefs stayed with a few of them because they told me so. I like
encouraging others to be the very best they can be "in Christ Jesus." I am a very frail
creature in and of myself, but in Christ Jesus, he has helped me overcome some very
difficult and painful things. Sometimes I speak of them on here. More often, I come here to
pray for other people. In the past, I used to whine to God in my prayers. When I began to
thank him first, for His many blessings in my life (and I would list them), he began to work
even more in my life. I needed help moving. He helped me with that. I needed someone to
buy my home because I was going to lose it anyway, and it would be better to have someone
take over payments. God helped me with that too. I never talked to my pastor very much. I
felt compelled to talk to him about me losing my home--I asked him if he knew of anyone in
the Congregation that needed to buy a home of their own. And someone did need a home.
I lost my former home. God helped me find a smaller home. My list goes on. I don't want to
bore you. God does care about the small things. Really think about the intricate nature and
beauty of the world. He is the ultimate creator and artist of all that beauty. Molecules, atoms,
et cetera. He is Great! The Great I Am.
