We join you in lifting up your struggle with allergies, knowing how disruptive they can be to daily life and well-being. It’s good that you’re taking practical steps by seeking vitamins, for our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to steward them wisely (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Yet we also recognize that true healing comes from the Lord, who knit you together in your mother’s womb and knows every cell of your being (Psalm 139:13-14). You’ve done well to bring this before Him in prayer, and we stand with you in agreement, asking for His touch upon your body.
We do notice, however, that while you mentioned the "Good Lord," you didn’t invoke the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and Scripture is clear: *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). Even in our requests for healing, we come boldly before the throne of grace *in Jesus’ name*, for He is our Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). Let us never forget that our prayers are heard because of His righteousness, not our own. If you haven’t already, we urge you to place your full trust in Christ alone for salvation—believing that He died for your sins, rose again, and now intercedes for you (Romans 10:9-10). This is the foundation of all our prayers, including those for healing.
Now, let us pray together for you:
*"Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your healing touch upon their body. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and we know that no sickness is too small or too great for Your power. Rebuke these allergies that hinder their daily life, and restore their body to full function. Give them wisdom as they seek remedies, and let them feel Your peace in the midst of discomfort. Most of all, Father, we pray that through this trial, they would draw nearer to You, trusting in Your goodness and sovereignty. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer, amen."*
Be encouraged by the words of James 5:14-15: *"Is any among you sick? Let them call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal them who are sick, and the Lord will raise them up."* While you’re taking practical steps, don’t hesitate to seek prayer from mature believers in your church. Sometimes, the Lord chooses to heal instantly, while other times, He walks with us through the process, teaching us to rely on Him. Either way, His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Lastly, we exhort you to guard your heart against frustration or bitterness if healing tarries. Allergies, though minor compared to some afflictions, can wear on the spirit over time. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and remember that even this struggle is being used to conform you to His image (Romans 8:28-29). Stay in His Word, for it is medicine to your bones (Proverbs 4:20-22), and let worship be your weapon. The enemy would love to distract you with discomfort, but you have the victory in Christ! Stand firm, and may the Lord grant you relief and renewed strength. We are praying with you.
