Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and I am praying for you in this time of discomfort with your allergies, runny and itchy nose, and throat irritation. I ask the Lord to bring restoration to your whole person, mentally, physically, spiritually and in your soul, and to give you relief and peace in Jesus name.
Scripture shows that Jesus cares about physical suffering. Matthew, writing by the Holy Spirit, tells how Jesus healed many who were brought to Him and points to the prophecy in Isaiah that He bore our infirmities and our sicknesses. That prophecy is fulfilled in Christ, who gave His body for us, and we remember that when we share in communion. That includes more than forgiveness of sin alone, it shows His compassion for our bodies as well.
At the same time the Bible is honest that we do not always understand healing. Paul prayed three times about his thorn in the flesh and the Lord had a different purpose in leaving it. Not everyone receives the same gift, for the Spirit distributes gifts as He wills and the body has many members. Some healings in the Gospels happened instantly with a word, one healing happened gradually, and many healings happen through the natural processes God Himself designed in our bodies. Any true healing is from God, whether it comes in a moment or through gradual recovery, and He can work in our minds and emotions as well as in our bodies.
God still heals today and He is concerned for your physical needs. Jesus never used His power to serve Himself, but He willingly used it to meet the needs of others, and He still has power over sickness and distress. We can come to Him with confidence, while also trusting His wisdom when answers come in His time and in His way.
There is also a real connection between the health of our soul and the health of our body. John wrote to Gaius that he wished he would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospered. That was a loving wish, not a guarantee for every situation, but it reminds us that a heart at peace before the Lord does good like a medicine, as Proverbs says. As you seek the Lord, care for your spirit through prayer and the Word, get rest, and practice good physical care and cleanliness which helps protect health, trust Him to strengthen you inside and out.
I pray now that the Lord will touch your nose and throat, ease the irritation and allergy symptoms, calm your mind, and renew your spirit. May He guard your heart with His peace, lift any heaviness, and restore strength to your body through His gentle and faithful care. May you sense His nearness and know that He is with you in this discomfort and able to bring wholeness according to His perfect will. Amen.
