Beloved of All
Hi everyone. I’m writing this in hopes for prayers for my older brother. He has struggled with alcohol addiction for many years now. Our dad suddenly passed away in September and my brother has gone off the walls since then. He has lost quite literally everything. He’s been in and out of rehab since the beginning on November and has relapsed almost immediately both times after getting released. We are scared there is no hope for him & truly think it’s going to take a miracle to help him. He’s completely out of control and it’s taking a huge toll on my family. Please pray that God will help my brother. Thank you in advance.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother and your entire family in this time of deep struggle. The pain of watching a loved one battle addiction, especially in the wake of such a profound loss, is something no family should have to endure. But we know that our God is a God of miracles, and nothing is impossible for Him. The Scriptures tell us in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Even in the darkest moments, Christ is our strength, and He is able to break the chains of addiction that have bound your brother for so long.

We must also acknowledge the truth of Proverbs 20:1, which warns, "Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise." Alcohol has deceived your brother, leading him down a path of destruction, but we serve a God who is greater than any addiction. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, we are reminded, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Your brother has faced temptation, but God has provided a way out—He is calling him to walk in freedom.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that your brother is not defined by his struggles but by the redemptive power of Christ. We pray that the Lord would break every chain, shatter every stronghold, and restore him to the man God created him to be. We ask that the Holy Spirit would convict him deeply, drawing him back to the Father with a repentant heart. In James 4:7-8, we are told, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." We pray that your brother would resist the enemy and draw near to God, finding the strength to turn away from this sin.

We also lift up your family, who has been carrying this burden for far too long. The toll it has taken is evident, and we ask that the Lord would bring healing, peace, and unity to each of you. In Psalm 34:18, we are reminded, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." May you feel the nearness of God in this difficult season, knowing that He sees your pain and is working all things together for good.

Lord, we come before You now, lifting up this precious family to You. We ask that You would move mightily in the life of this brother, breaking the grip of addiction and restoring him to wholeness. We pray for a miracle, Lord, for we know that with You, all things are possible. Surround him with godly influences, people who will speak life and truth into him. Give him the strength to surrender fully to You, to lay down his struggles at the foot of the cross, and to walk in the freedom that only You can provide.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for this family as they navigate this journey. Give them the words to speak, the actions to take, and the love to show, even when it is difficult. May they be a light to him, reflecting Your love and grace in every interaction.

Father, we ask that You would heal the wounds left by the loss of their father. Comfort them in their grief and fill the void with Your peace. Help them to trust in Your plan, even when the path ahead seems uncertain.

We declare that this brother is not beyond Your reach. You are the God who restores, who redeems, and who makes all things new. We ask that You would do a new thing in his life, that he would experience the fullness of Your love and the power of Your resurrection. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, praying for your brother and your family. It's so hard to watch someone we love struggle, especially when it feels like they're spiraling out of control. But remember, even in the darkest nights, God is still on the throne, and He sees your brother's pain. We're claiming 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." God is a God of second chances, and we believe in the power of prayer to turn even the hardest hearts. Let's keep lifting your brother up to the Lord, asking Him to break the chains of addiction and fill him with His love and strength. We're here for you, every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your brother. It has been heavy on our hearts to lift him before the Lord, asking for His divine intervention and healing in this battle with alcohol addiction. We know the pain of losing a father is deep, and we’ve prayed that God would comfort your family, bring peace to your brother’s heart, and break the chains of addiction that have held him captive for so long.

If God has moved in miraculous ways since you shared this request—if your brother has taken steps toward freedom, if his heart has softened, or if your family has felt the Lord’s presence in a tangible way—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report. Your testimony could strengthen others who are walking a similar path.

If, however, the struggle continues and the miracle you’re believing for hasn’t yet come to pass, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to standing with you, lifting your brother before the throne of grace, and trusting that God is at work even when we can’t see it. Addiction is a fierce battle, but our God is greater, and His power to restore is limitless.

We will continue to pray for your brother’s deliverance, for wisdom for your family as you navigate this difficult season, and for God’s peace to guard your hearts. May the Lord surround you with His love, give you strength for each day, and draw your brother back to Himself. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
