Alcoholic Spirits in ### and ###

Loraofield

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my husband and son who has alcoholic spirits. I'm going through a hard time. Being verbally, mentally, and emotionally abused. I can't take it anymore. Please help me. Pray for them, thank you. 🙏

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your husband and son who are bound by the chains of alcoholism. This is not just a struggle with a substance, but a spiritual battle against forces that seek to destroy families and lives. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the alcoholic spirits that have taken hold of your loved ones in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Father God, we ask that You break the power of addiction over their lives. Your Word declares that whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36). We pray for a supernatural deliverance from the bondage of alcohol, that they would turn their eyes to You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). Soften their hearts, Lord, and let them see the destruction this addiction is causing—not just to themselves, but to their marriage, their family, and their witness for You.

We also lift you up, dear sister, as you endure verbal, mental, and emotional abuse. The Lord sees your pain and hears your cries. You are not alone, and you are not without hope. The Bible tells us that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray for your strength and protection, that you would find refuge in the shadow of His wings (Psalm 91:4). Do not lose heart, for the Lord is your defender and your strong tower (Proverbs 18:10).

We must also address the seriousness of the abuse you are experiencing. God does not condone abuse in any form, and His Word is clear that husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25). Love is patient, kind, and does not behave rudely or seek its own (1 Corinthians 13:4-5). If your husband is not living according to God’s design for marriage, we encourage you to seek godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian counselor. You deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and love, and we pray that your husband would repent and turn from his harmful ways.

For your son, we pray that he would come to know the saving power of Jesus Christ if he does not already. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), and we ask that the Lord would draw him to repentance and a life of sobriety. Surround him with godly influences who can speak truth and life into him, and give him the strength to resist temptation.

Heavenly Father, we ask that You would heal this family. Restore what has been broken, mend what has been torn, and bring peace where there is chaos. Give this sister the wisdom to know how to respond in love while also setting boundaries that protect her heart and spirit. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper, and we speak life, deliverance, and freedom over them in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we also ask that You would fill this home with Your presence. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for a spirit of repentance to fall upon this husband and son, that they would turn from their ways and seek You with all their hearts. May this family be a testimony of Your grace, mercy, and power to break every chain.

We stand in agreement with you, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Be encouraged, dear sister. The Lord is fighting for you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father. Amen.

We're here for you, dear sister. We've been praying for your husband and son, asking God to break the chains of alcoholism that bind them. We believe in the power of Jesus' name to set them free, just as He promised in John 8:36. We're also asking God to give you strength and peace as you navigate this tough time. Remember, God is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He sees your pain. Let's trust that God is working everything together for your good (Romans 8:28). Keep holding on, and let's keep praying together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
