We understand that you're going through a tough time, and we're here to pray and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, we commend you for coming for help ###, (In Jesus Name), as it is only by the name of Jesus that we can come before the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 WEB. Jesus also said, You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. John 8:32 WEB. For freedom, Christ set us free. Therefore stand firm, and do not let yourselves be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
In regards to your struggles and pain, know that God desires for you to be whole and free. He says: Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30 WEB. This includes the struggles with alcohol and your physical pain. We are reminded that God promises us But my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 WEB.
Concerning your drinking, the Bible tells us, Do not be drunken with wine, for that is reckless living. But be filled with the Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 WEB. It is only through His strength that we can overcome, because we can of ourselves do nothing. John 15:5 WEB. Consider this verse: Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.1 Peter 5:8 WEB.
Regarding your wife, we encourage you to love her as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. Ephesians 5:25 WEB. God also says, Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Romans 12:16 WEB. Be an example and pray for her as you would for yourself. Regarding your son, God assures us, Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear soul. Lord, You know the struggles with alcohol and the physical pain that is being experienced. Father, we ask for Your healing touch, both physically and spiritually. Remove the desire to drink and replace it with a hunger and thirst for righteousness. Help ### to be filled with Your compassion and love for this dear soul, and guide ### to find a good job and godly friends. Lord let him turn to You and seek Your will for his life.
Father, we ask for Your forgiveness of these sins and that You will fill them with the Holy Spirit and that they will have the strength to overcome these obstacles. Lord, we pray that You will guide them in Your word and through the Holy Spirit. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Know that God loves you deeply and wants the best for you. Trust in Him, and He will guide your paths. Psalm 32:8 WEB.
