September ###, my wife manipulated the courts in ###. I had going to ### to start a new job for my family.

She had a sister in Christ, then went to ### unbeknownst to me and stole my son’s for me. I haven’t seen them since.

Every day I have dreams about my children and I miss them deeply and I’m so sad. I’m so very sad God please help me.

I dream about them and it just makes me wake up with deep sadness and depression and I miss my babies so much please God do something.

Since I moved back to ###, God opened the door, I’ve had difficulty after difficulty. It’s like Satan is following me around thinking I’m Job. I’m so exhausted.

I can’t believe all the suffering that I’ve gone through. It’s like every single step has been suffering. I have been a Christian since ###. I preached the word of God for nearly ### years.

I’m so exhausted God I’m tired. Please lift me up. Please lift me up. I’m so exhausted. I put my faith and trust in you God yes, I believe in Christ, of course obviously

I just need prayers

I bet I have prayed for my wife over ### times. by name in the name of Christ yes.

God, I know you have the power to act. You spoke the world into existence. God spoken it was done he commanded, and it stood fast. I know you have the power to move mountains. I trust that you will please do so God I’m tired. I’m exhausted. I’m sad. I’m depressed.

Please lift me up God or just take me send a chariot to come get me and I’ll leave today

We have read your request with heavy hearts and we are weeping with you and praying with you in the name of Jesus Christ. We hear your deep sadness over your sons and the pain of being separated from them, and the exhaustion you feel after so many difficulties and disappointments. We want you to know that God sees you and hears you, and He has not forgotten you or your children.

The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. When you feel overwhelmed with sadness and depression when you wake from dreaming of your babies, we pray you will remember that you can cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. Jesus Himself says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. When your heart is overwhelmed, we pray you will cry out as the psalmist did, When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I Psalm 61:2.

You mentioned feeling like Job, that Satan is following you and every step has been suffering. We understand that feeling, and Scripture tells us that Job was a man who suffered greatly yet remained faithful, and the Lord in the end restored him and showed His compassion and mercy. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28, even when we cannot see the good in the moment. Count it all joy when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance James 1:2-3. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength Isaiah 40:29. Wait for Yahweh, be strong, and let your heart take courage, yes, wait for Yahweh Psalm 27:14.

We also hear your heart regarding your wife and your marriage. We believe as Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Matthew 19:6. We grieve with you over the manipulation and the taking of your sons and the pain of this separation. We commend you for praying for your wife over so many times by name in the name of Christ, that is exactly what God calls us to do, to love and pray for those who have hurt us and to seek reconciliation where possible. We encourage you to continue to pray for her, not with bitterness, but asking God to work in her heart, to bring conviction, repentance and healing, and to guard your own heart from bitterness. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. We pray for justice and mercy in the courts and for God to open a way for you to see your sons again, for He is a Father to the fatherless and He defends the cause of His people.

You said you are so exhausted and sad and depressed that you asked God to just take you and send a chariot to come get you. We speak to that gently and with love because your life is precious to God and to us. He spoke the world into existence as you said, He commanded, and it stood fast Psalm 33:9, and that same power is at work to sustain you. He has a purpose for you still on this earth. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We know the heaviness you feel is real, but we urge you not to give up. God wants to lift you up, not to take you away before His time. Please reach out to a trusted pastor, a godly brother in Christ, or a counselor in your local church and let them walk with you daily, pray with you face to face, and bear this burden with you. You have preached the Word for many years, and now let the Body of Christ minister to you and hold up your arms.

We are thankful you put your faith and trust in God and that you believe in Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We cling to that truth with you.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we lift up our brother to Your throne of grace. You see his tears, You hear his cries for his sons, You know his sleepless nights and his dreams and his deep sadness. Lord, we ask You to be near to him as the One who is close to the brokenhearted. Lift him up when he is exhausted, give him rest when he is heavily burdened, and renew his strength like the eagle. Heal his depression and his sorrow and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, we pray for his sons, wherever they are, place Your hand of protection over them, keep them safe, let them know their father loves them, and make a way for our brother to see them and to be restored to them according to Your will and Your perfect timing. We pray for his wife, that You would work in her heart, bring her to truth and repentance, and bring healing and justice to this family. We pray against the schemes of the enemy who seeks to steal and destroy, and we ask You to rebuke Satan and to guard our brother under the shadow of Your wings. Father, take away the thought of wanting to leave this life, and remind him that You have purpose for him still, that his preaching and his life still matter for Your kingdom, and that You will carry him through this valley. Sustain him day by day, provide for his needs, open doors that no man can shut, and let him feel Your presence in a fresh and tangible way. We trust that You who spoke the world into existence can move the mountains in his life, and we wait expectantly for You to act. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Father, we bring our brother before You in Jesus name. You see his love for his children, his weariness and his tears. Hold him close today, guard his life, give him rest where he is exhausted and wisdom for each next step. Surround him with caring people who will stay near and remind him he is not forgotten. You have poured out a bitter sorrow, and your words show a man wearied in the length of his way. To dream of your children by night and to wake to find them still gone, to feel every step marked with suffering, to be exhausted even after long years of preaching the Word, this is a heavy affliction indeed. The Lord knows the weight of it, and He hears the many prayers you have offered by name in the name of Christ.

There is a hope which is no hope, and the prophet speaks of those who are wearied yet will not say, There is no hope, because they have found the life of their hand. Do not set your hope upon your own strength to recover what is lost, nor upon the courts of man, nor even upon the intensity of your own prayers as if they could compel God. There is no hope for you in yourself, but there is hope for you in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior of such as you. Your trust is well placed when you say, You spoke the world into existence, You commanded and it stood fast. That same power remains, and what you cannot do, He can do.

You write that it seems as if Satan follows you as he did Job, and that every door since your return has brought new difficulty. Job was indeed tried, yet not one affliction came without the Lord's permission, and not one remained beyond His purpose. The separation of husband and wife and of father and children is an agony, and Scripture warns that there is a separation still more painful and final beyond this life. How needful then to turn to the stronghold while there is yet hope. You are a prisoner of hope, not a prisoner without hope in a pit wherein is no water. The word to such a one is, Turn you to the stronghold. Christ Himself is that stronghold. Run into Him, and you shall be safe, even when the pit feels deep and the way long.

I would have you learn also the lesson of the weaned child. David said, My soul is even as a weaned child. The weaning child frets and cries for what it once had, but the weaned child is content, its desires lie still upon its mother's breast. It is not wrong to weep for your sons, for the Lord Jesus wept, but grace can bring you to say, not my will, but Thine be done, and to rest content that your times and your children's times are in His hands. You cannot understand all His ways now, for they are too high for you, as a child cannot understand a hard book, yet you may trust the Father who does understand.

We are saved in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope, for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for. If we hope for what we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Your hope is not yet seen. You do not see your children restored, you do not see the weariness lifted, you do not see the mountain moved. The sphere of hope is things not seen. Therefore wait with patience. Many a child of God has to weep for months because he did not watch for minutes, and the enemy sows tares while we sleep. Keep watch in prayer, keep close to Christ, keep in the means of grace, and let patience have her perfect work.

For hopeless cases there is hope in the great Healer. The father once brought his son who had been thus from a child, deaf and dumb and torn, and said, if You can do anything. Jesus showed that when the last hope seems to expire, then He interposes. You have not gone too far from Christ for His help to reach you, nor have your children gone beyond His eye. And even the Valley of Achor, which is a place of trouble, God can make a door of hope. What is your duty when the door seems shut. Your first duty is to wait till it is open, and to draw near to God as a dear child to a loving Father, through whom we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

You prayed, lift me up, or take me with a chariot. The Lord heard Elijah under the juniper tree when he asked to die, and the Lord did not grant that request, but fed him and strengthened him for the journey. So I pray He will do for you. It is not yours to ask for the chariot before the appointed time, but to live until your work is done. He who kept you through nearly many years of faith and preaching has not brought you thus far to leave you.

Let us pray together.

O Lord God, who spoke and it was done, who commanded and it stood fast, look upon this weary servant. Thou knowest his sadness and his dreams in the night, his love for his sons and his long prayers for his wife. Lift him up, for he is exhausted and his soul is cast down. Give him the faith of a weaned child, content to rest upon Thy breast though he understands not Thy ways. Keep him from the pit of despair, and make him a prisoner of hope turning ever to Christ the stronghold. Have mercy upon his children, keep them in Thy sight, let no evil have dominion over them, and in Thy time and in Thy way work that which is according to Thy holy will for this family. Thou hatest the putting away and Thou hast ordained marriage to be the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, so we ask Thee to work repentance where there is sin, and healing where there is wounding, and to guard all hearts in purity and truth. Grant to this brother to be saved in hope, to wait with patience for what he sees not yet, and to find even this valley of trouble to be a door of hope through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation. Sustain him day by day, give him bread for this day's burden, and keep his feet from falling, that he may yet rejoice in hope of Thy glory. Amen.
