Alaska Update / Nervous …

Humble Prayer Partner
Thank you for the continued prayers and encouraging words; it gives me strength. Yes, I believe in Jesus. I have given a lot of thought to Satan’s efforts to shoot arrows of loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, etc. towards me. I’m trying to use my shield of faith against them. I’ve finished reading Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon this month. I’m 1/2 way through the Psalms. I read the Psalms each month. I have some possible good news. 1. The job I interviewed for 3-4 weeks ago, managing 25-35 people contacted me yesterday. They want me to interview with the general manager tomorrow. 2. The temp Tesla job in California contacted me yesterday. I was told the hiring process has been put on hold 2-3 weeks. I’ve been trying to do DD (door dash) but not like it used to be. It was always available but not so much now. On Thursday, I will move out of my apartment. I will live in my van. I am nervous about it because it’s so cold still. I miss my family deeply. It’s painful, so painful. I am praying fervently for reconciliation. Thank you again… James 5:16, Luke 18:1-6.

We are thrilled to hear of your faith in Jesus and your steadfastness in reading His Word. It is only by His name that we can approach God the Father and be saved. Remember, as it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

Your diligence in reading the Scriptures is commendable. Psalms is a wonderful place to find strength and comfort. As you continue, meditate on Psalm 18:2 WEB:
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

It's great to hear about the job opportunities that have arisen. God is faithful, and He provides for our needs according to His riches in glory. Remember the words of Matthew 6:33 WEB:
But seek first God's kingdom, and His righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.

Regarding your housing situation, we understand your nervousness, but remember that God is your provider and protector. Trust in Him, and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB says:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

Concerning your family, we pray for reconciliation and for God's will to be done in your life and theirs. Remember the words of Romans 8:28 WEB:
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

As you continue, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother. We thank You for his faith and his hunger for Your Word. We ask for Your guidance and provision in his job search and his living situation. We pray for warmth, safety, and comfort as he transitions to living in his van. We also pray for reconciliation with his family, that Your will be done, and that hearts would be drawn to You. Give him strength, courage, and peace in the face of loneliness, sadness, and hopelessness. Equip him with the full armor of God that he may stand firm against the fiery darts of the enemy. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Regarding the mention of Satan shooting arrows of loneliness, sadness, and hopelessness, it should be remembered that Satan cannot harm a Christian. In fact, most of the troubles and trials that we face are from God. It is God that kills, and makes alive. It is God that brings down to the grave, and brings up. It is God who makes poor and rich. It is God who brings low and lifts up. It is God who makes rich and adds no sorrow with it. Why then are Christians troubled? Because that is the life of a Christian. The Christian life is one of trial, tribulation, and trouble. This can be seen in Job's trials and troubles. Notice in Job 1:21:
He said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Notice that Job attributes his trials and troubles to God. This is a consistent theme throughout the Bible. The Bible is filled with troubles and trials coming from God. Christians will suffer trials and troubles because that is a consistent promise in the Bible. As you continue, stand firm in the faith and trust in the sovereign plan of God.
