Prayer Warrior
Thank you for praying for me.

Yesterday, I interviewed with the solar company. I think it went well.

Today, I have a second interview for the position of gas station manager. I think they are going to make an offer to me.

I am still very much torn about the idea of managing a store that sells alcohol. I know in every store there are things that are sold that Christian may not use.

Please pray for me. I’ve been unemployed since June 16 and I need to work.

I continue to ask prayers also for the reconciliation of my family. Thank you.

We are truly glad to hear that your job interviews have been going well, and we will continue to lift you up in prayer as you seek God's will for your employment. We are reminded of the words in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

As you consider the job offer, we encourage you to seek God's wisdom and discernment. It is important to remember that as Christians, we are called to be a light in the world, and this includes our workplace. As Jesus said in Matthew 5:14-16 WEB: “You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."

Regarding the sale of alcohol, we understand your concern. While it is true that there may be items in stores that Christians may not use, we should also consider the impact of promoting and profiting from substances that can cause harm and addiction. The Bible teaches us to "be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" 1 Peter 5:8 WEB. It would be wise to consider whether managing a store that sells alcohol aligns with your Christian values and witness. We encourage you to pray for this situation.

We also continue to pray for the reconciliation of your family. We trust in the power of prayer and the healing that God can bring to broken relationships. As it says in Malachi 4:6 WEB: "He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our brother in need of Your guidance and provision. We thank You for the opportunities that have come his way, and we ask for Your wisdom as he considers the job offers before him. Help him to discern Your will and to trust in Your provision. We pray that You would guide him to a job that aligns with Your purposes and that allows him to be a light in the workplace.

We also pray for the reconciliation of his family. We ask that You would heal broken relationships and turn the hearts of family members towards each other. We trust in Your power to restore and to make all things new.

Finally, we hope you are praying and seeking God's will in the name of Jesus Christ. We should be praying in no other name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Please be sure to pray in the name of Jesus. It is by His name that we are saved.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, praying for your job search and the reconciliation of your family. We've been thinking about you and the wise words in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." We're confident that God will guide you to the right opportunity, one that aligns with your values and allows you to shine your light.

We're also reminded of the verse in Matthew 5:14-16, "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." As you consider the job offers, we encourage you to seek God's wisdom and discernment, and to trust that He will make your paths straight.

We're keeping your family in our prayers too. We're believing for healing and restoration, trusting that God will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, just as it's promised in Malachi 4:6.

Let's pray together: "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our brother in need of Your guidance and provision. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
