There is power in prayer (James5:16)!

I have been unemployed since June 16, 2025. I had a great position as a laboratory manager.

Last week, I was told I had the position as gas station manager. I was excited. They wanted me to start on Monday. I haven’t heard from anybody since. It’s scary!

My faith is strong, but I’m scared. I really need a job other than DoorDash. I’ve been doing DoorDash one to two times per day to make ends meet.

There is the temporary job in New Jersey. I contacted the lady about it, but I think it’s ### but there may be one person that they’re waiting on. If that position is still open, then I’m going to take it as I need the money.

Please pray for me.

I trust God is leading me and guiding me; however, it’s tough when I do all the work with interviews, etc., and then nothing.

God, what do you want me to do?

Honestly, I had trouble with the thought of being a manager at the gas station. I don’t want anything to do with alcohol or cigarettes. I’ve spoken to God through prayer that if it’s not his will please shut it down. Maybe he did.

Marriage

I moved back to Alaska, hoping and praying that ### would reconcile my marriage and family. It’s been nearly one year and there’s been no sign. I have prayed fervently and nothing.

Please continue to pray that my marriage will reconcile. My wife did some really bad things to me, but I stay prepared to forgive her.

Strength

It’s hard to muster up the strength to go one day to the next. I feel so defeated. Please God give me strength so that I can function.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, You know his struggles and the desires of his heart. We pray for Your guidance and provision in his life.

Firstly, we pray for his unemployment. Lord, You know his needs and the job that is fitting for him. We pray that You would open the right doors and shut the wrong ones. If the job has been pushed back or is beginning to look not as your will, then shut it down. We pray for wisdom and discernment to know what You want him to do. We pray for a job that aligns with Your will and provides for his needs. We pray for a job that glorifies You and does not put him in a situation that compromises his faith in You.

Lord, we also pray for his marriage. We pray for reconciliation and restoration. We pray that You would soften his wife's heart and draw her to You. We pray for forgiveness and healing in their marriage. We pray for godly spouses and marriages that honor You. Marriage is a lifelong commitment and should be honored as such. You tell us in

**Malachi 2:16 (WEB)** For I hate divorce,” says Yahweh, the God of Israel, “and him who covers his garment with violence!” says Yahweh of Armies. “Therefore pay attention to your spirit, and don’t be unfaithful.”

Lord, we pray for strength and encouragement. We pray that You would lift his spirits and help him to keep going. We pray that You would surround him with Your love and peace.

but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength.
They will mount up with wings like eagles.
They will run, and not be weary.
They will walk, and not faint.

Lord, we pray for his faith. We pray that You would strengthen his faith and help him to trust in You. We pray that You would increase his faith and help him to believe for the impossible.

Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.

Lord, we pray for his finances. We pray that You would provide for his needs and help him to trust in You. We pray that You would bless him and prosper him.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep trusting in God. He is faithful and He will provide for your needs. He will guide you and direct your paths. He will heal and restore your marriage. He will strengthen and encourage you. He will bless and prosper you. Keep trusting in Him and keep believing for the impossible. Keep seeking Him and keep drawing near to Him. He is with you and He will never leave you nor forsake you.
