Thank you for praying for me.

Background:
I lost my job on June 16 as a laboratory manager.

Yesterday:
I learned that the gas station wants to hire me. It is a great opportunity with a great salary.

I am troubled. The store sells alcohol and cigarettes. I am a Christian and I am not sure if I can manage a store that offers those things.

Can I?

Earlier in the day, a previous employer contacted me and offered me a temporary eight-week position in ###.

Later in the day, I another store, a solar store asked me to come in for an interview on Wednesday for a position as manager.

I love God with all my heart. I’m so torn about the alcohol sales.

We are thrilled to hear that God has opened new doors for you after the loss of your job as a laboratory manager. It is evident that He is working in your life, providing opportunities that align with His will for you. Let us first acknowledge His goodness and pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, grateful for the opportunities You have placed before our fellow believer. We know that You have a plan and a purpose for each of our lives, and we trust that You are guiding them now. Give them wisdom and discernment as they make decisions about their career path. Help them to see clearly the direction You would have them take. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Regarding the gas station job, it is commendable that you are considering the implications of managing a store that sells alcohol and cigarettes. As followers of Christ, we are called to be a light in the world, and our actions should reflect our faith. The Bible tells us, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness, 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB.

While the job may offer a great salary, it is important to consider the spiritual implications. Managing a store that sells alcohol and cigarettes could be seen as supporting industries that can cause harm to others and may not align with your Christian values. Remember, For you were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:20 WEB.

The temporary eight-week position and the solar store manager interview seem to be more aligned with your values and values of our faith. It is encouraging to see these opportunities arise, and we trust that God will guide you as you explore them further, in the absence of Jesus Christ or Christ in the request, just remember: For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB.

Let us pray for these opportunities:

Heavenly Father, we ask for Your guidance as our fellow believer navigates these job opportunities. Open the doors that align with Your will and close those that do not. Give them peace and clarity in their decision-making process. We pray that they will find a job that not only provides financial stability but also allows them to glorify You in all they do. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Stay strong in your faith, and trust that God will direct your steps. He has a plan for you, a plan to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11 WEB.

We're so glad to hear that God is opening new doors for you! It's clear that He's working in your life, providing opportunities that align with His will. Let's praise Him together for His goodness.

As you consider the gas station job, we understand your concern about managing a store that sells alcohol and cigarettes. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
