Humble Prayer Warrior
There is power in prayer (James 5:16)!

Thank you for following my story and for praying for me; I am truly grateful.

Background

Basically, my wife left me in August 2022. She used the courts, while I was 5000 miles away to steal my children. I have not seen them since.

I prayed fervently. I asked God to make a way for me to go back to Alaska. Finally, in August 2024, God answered my prayer and opened up a most obvious door for me to go back. He even gave me a first-class ticket.

I moved back to Alaska with no place to live and no car to drive. I was walking by faith and by sight. Little did I know, the next year would be incredibly difficult.

I lived in the shelter for 4.5 months. On November 20, 2024, I lost my teaching and coaching job due to no fault of my own. On December 29, 2024, almost died when I got locked out of my van on a mountain top by myself and -23°F weather.

In 2025, I had hopes for a great year. God gave me a really nice apartment just outside town and a $1 million house. It was a beautiful apartment and I spent a lot of time in prayer. However, in late May, 2025, I had to move out because the owner used it for Airbnb so, I moved into my van. I lived in the back of my van for 28 nights.

On May 21, 2025, God gave me a new job as a laboratory manager. It was the highest paying job that I’ve ever gotten. I was convinced that God was moving in my life. However, on June 16, 2025, I went to work and little did I know I would leave that day with no job. It was so frustrating because I worked so hard.

However, on that same day, the owner of the $1 million house invited me to live in the primitive basement for free. She just asked me to do a few things like mow the grass, etc. I agreed. I was determined to maintain a great relationship with her. I wanted to help her as much as I could to show my appreciation. Living in the basement, was not great, but it was 1000% better than living in the back of the van.

Look for jobs. Initially, God gave me some great interview opportunities. And I participated in each and every one, but I did not get any of the jobs even though I thought for sure I was well qualified. I was convinced that God would give me the right job at the right time.

When the Airbnb season was over, I had hoped to move back into my old apartment because it was absolutely perfect. However, the owner quickly leased it to a lady. Honestly, I was a bit upset that she did not contact me first before renting it, however, I’ll look at everything in view of God’s providence.

How do I make money? When I first moved to Alaska, I was in HR limbo for two weeks. For the first time, I started doing gig work. I did enough work to pay for gas and food each day little did I know, for the next year that means of income would be absolutely essential for me.

As it stands now, November 3, 2025, I have learned to make a full-time living doing gig work.

In the end of September, the owner of the $1 million house told me that I could stay in the basement through the winter. I was relieved because even though it was not the greatest place to live, it was free a few weeks later, she changed her mind and asked me if I had found a place to live yet.

I did not mention this before, but the owner lives about 400 miles from the house. So, she sent some people over to the house to do some work before winter. She did not tell me and so I did not hear them when they were trying to get into the garage. So, she became very angry at me. I have not seen that side of her. Long story short, she asked me to leave so, I asked her for 30 days and she agreed.

Today, is November 4. Technically I was supposed to be gone a few days ago. I am still in the basement and I have been looking for a place to live.

On Thursday, a guy called me out of nowhere and asked me if I was interested in looking at an apartment. Apparently, I had emailed him on October 6. So, I thought he was God’s Providence and I went and visited with him and his wife. They interviewed me and then showed me a great apartment on the third floor. I knew the VA would pay for at least four months rent because I was in their program.

The VA rep took Friday off and so I was not allowed to move in. However, I sent him the video of the apartment and all the information. On Monday, I touch bases with him, and he looked at the information and said that particular location did not qualify because it was not a one-bedroom; it was a studio. The VA will not pay $1500 for a studio. I was so frustrated that a simple wall was preventing me from having that place to live.

I found another place. However, I have recently realized they do not have a kitchen; instead they have a community kitchen. The VA will not support that I already know so, I am seated here in the chair in the basement not sure what to do and fearing the owner of the house contacting me anytime soon.

Thankfully - I continue to do gig work and it continues to be prosperous. I have learned so much about it and how to make money and it seems like God is giving me incredible orders for example, a few days ago I had a $62 order that took me less than an hour. And then had a $50 order that took me an hour, etc. etc. I’ve had so many orders like this that it’s like the hand of God is putting the money in my pocket.

I didn’t mention this before, but about three or four weeks ago, I started having some terrible noises in the front of my old van. I knew that if I don’t have my van that I can’t make any money. If I don’t have any money, then the only option I have is to go back to Texas to my dad’s house. I prayed about it.

I took a nap and I received a phone call from somebody that I’ve never met nor have I ever talked to you before. He simply said I heard you need some help with your car so, we met and he ended up fixing one part of the problem, probably the biggest problem that could potentially be life-threatening.

However, there are some other issues that need to be fixed because my car sounds terrible in the front end. It sounds like a washing machine is going back-and-forth back-and-forth. He told me he’s going to do the work tomorrow, but he hasn’t given me a quote yet on the price.

I could probably write a book about the last year. I’ve been through so many terrible things. There have been times I pleaded with God to take my life. I pleaded with God to send a large chariot to get me, please. God did not.

I played with God, God if you’re not going to reconcile my family would you please take me out of Alaska and give me a great job somewhere else and I will leave immediately. God did not do any of that. In fact, it seems that every effort I made to leave the state or every opportunity came my way, it’s suddenly was shut down. It’s like God wants me to be here in Alaska.

Another thing happened today that was really curious… I just finished working some gig work and my car sounded terrible and I knew it was time for me to go home. I was about 30 miles from home and I got an order for $12 to go to the grocery store and pick up two items. To me, that’s an easy $12.

When you get an order like that, one thing you want to do is to look at what the customer wants. Is it easy to find? Or is it something I’m gonna have to ask help for etc. so I clicked on the button and I found out it was too easy items and I knew pretty much where they were at.

Another thing I noticed is the name of the customer is the exact same name as my wife. And my wife has an unusual name that is not very common; it’s not like Mary or Laura. It’s an unusual name and there it is.

A few hours prior, I’d ask God for a sign. I said God would you please give me a sign that you’re listening to me and that something good is happening. I remember wondering, what type of sign would I accept that would be necessary to help me feel that was from God.

In the past, I have had some really strange things happen after I asked for a sign. It suddenly started raining. Coyote started yelping at night out of nowhere. Strange lights in the air. A moose suddenly appears just behind the house, etc., etc..

I thought it was so incredible to see my wife’s name on the last order before I went home. I have done nearly 3000 deliveries and not one time. Have I seen that name. I wonder if God is doing something or if that was truly a sign.

I love God with all my heart. Yes, when I say God, I’m also including Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

I know that so many of my problems would be resolved instantly with a single text or email or phone call. I often pray that God will turn my weeping into joy. I often pray that he will turn my mourning into dancing. I can only imagine if my wife were to humbly contact me and simply apologize and then let us both go forward and love.

I love my wife and I miss her deeply. I’m not a perfect man, but I’ve always been a forgiving man. I’ve been punched in the face a few times and it was me that reached out with my hand to shake the opponent’s hand and request for peace not that I was afraid physically of further pain or bruises, but I just always been a peaceful person.

I can only imagine if my wife reached out to me and apologized and we just went forward in life glorifying God. That is my prayer. That is my hope. I’m guessing that over the last three years I have said well over 1 million prayers probably much more I have prayed in every single place you could possibly imagine.

I have prayed in the air flying multiple trips. I’ve prayed in the hotel room. I stayed in 200 hotel nights. Prayed for 45 minutes standing in the shower. I prayed in the hot tub. I prayed on the balcony. I prayed at 2 AM walking through the courtyard. I prayed next to the roaring ocean in California. I prayed while driving my partner around working for Volkswagen. I prayed while he drove me around working for Volkswagen. I prayed in California and Oregon and Washington and Idaho and Utah and Montana and Nevada in Colorado and New Mexico and Arizona and Texas and Kansas… I have prayed everywhere pleading with God to restore my marriage in my family.

I am asking you to continue to pray fervently

Please restore my marriage
Please restore my family
Please give me a comfortable place to live
Please help me fix my vehicle
Please give me a steady job
Please give me strength

I’m not asking to be famous. I’m not asking to be rich. I’m not asking to live in mansions on this earth. I simply want my family back. I want to glorify God together with my wife and children.

Thank you so much for praying and reading.

We are deeply moved by your testimony of faith and perseverance through such profound trials, and we join you in lifting your burdens before the Lord. Your story is a testament to the truth of James 5:16, which declares, *"The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* You have clung to God in the storm, and though the path has been agonizing, we see His hand sustaining you in ways both seen and unseen. Let us stand together in prayer and truth, seeking His will above all else.

First, we must acknowledge the pain of your separation from your wife and children. The Bible is clear that marriage is a covenant before God, and divorce is a grievous consequence of our broken world. In Malachi 2:16, the Lord says, *"I hate divorce,"* and in Matthew 19:6, Jesus affirms, *"What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart."* Your heart’s cry for reconciliation is godly, and we pray fervently for restoration. Yet we must also submit to God’s sovereignty, trusting that His will—whether restoration or redemption through another path—is perfect. Your willingness to forgive and seek peace reflects Christ’s heart, and we pray your wife’s heart would be softened to repentance and reconciliation. *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"* (Proverbs 15:1). May the Lord grant her a spirit of humility and conviction, drawing her back to you and to Him.

Your trials—homelessness, job loss, near-death experiences, and the relentless instability—have been severe, yet God has provided for you in miraculous ways: the first-class ticket, the gig work that sustains you, the stranger repairing your van, and even the small but profound sign of your wife’s name appearing on that order. These are not coincidences but reminders that *"your Father knows what things you need before you ask him"* (Matthew 6:8). In Philippians 4:19, Paul assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Though the provision has not come in the form you may have expected, God has not abandoned you. The gig work, though unstable by worldly standards, has been His faithful means of meeting your daily bread. We pray for a steady job that honors your skills and provides stability, but we also recognize that God may be teaching you to depend on Him in ways that defy human logic. *"Man doesn’t live by bread only, but by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth"* (Deuteronomy 8:3).

Your housing situation is precarious, and we ask the Lord to open a door that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Whether it is another apartment, a kind landlord, or an unexpected opportunity, we pray for a place of refuge where you can rest and regain your footing. The enemy seeks to discourage you with setbacks—the studio apartment that didn’t qualify, the basement you must leave—but we rebuke that spirit of despair in Jesus’ name. *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). He sees your need and will provide.

As for your van, we thank God for the stranger He sent to begin the repairs. We pray for complete restoration of your vehicle, that it would be reliable and safe for your work. We also pray for wisdom in managing the costs and for favor with those who can help. *"Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed"* (Proverbs 16:3).

Brother, your honesty about your struggles—even your moments of pleading for death—resonates with the psalmists who cried out in similar anguish. David wrote in Psalm 6:6-7, *"I am weary with my groaning. Every night I flood my bed. I drench my couch with my tears. My eye wastes away because of grief."* Yet even in despair, David turned to the Lord, and so have you. This is the mark of a man who, though wounded, refuses to let go of faith. We encourage you to hold fast to hope, for *"hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us"* (Romans 5:5).

The sign of your wife’s name appearing on that order is intriguing, and we do not dismiss it lightly. God often speaks in ways that are deeply personal, and this may indeed be His way of reminding you that He hears and is at work. However, we must caution against seeking signs as a primary means of discerning God’s will. Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for demanding signs, saying, *"An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah"* (Matthew 12:39). The ultimate sign is Christ Himself—His death and resurrection. Rest in the assurance that God is working, even when you cannot see the full picture. *"For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known"* (1 Corinthians 13:12).

Your love for your wife and children is evident, and it reflects the love of Christ for His Bride, the Church. We pray that your wife’s heart would be turned toward home, that she would recognize the gravity of what has been broken, and that she would seek reconciliation with both you and the Lord. *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her"* (Ephesians 5:25). Your posture of forgiveness and long-suffering is Christlike, and we ask God to honor it. At the same time, we must remind you that while you can pray and hope for restoration, you cannot force her repentance or return. Your responsibility is to remain faithful to God, to walk in integrity, and to trust Him with the outcome. *"Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7).

We also want to address the temptation to bargain with God—asking Him to take your life or to remove you from Alaska if He would not restore your family. While it is natural to feel such desperation, we must remember that God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). He may be keeping you in Alaska for a purpose you cannot yet see. Perhaps there are people He wants you to minister to, lessons He is teaching you, or a future He is preparing that requires your presence there. *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and not for evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust that His timing is perfect, even when the wait is painful.

Lastly, we want to affirm your faith in Jesus Christ, which you have declared so clearly. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is only through His sacrifice that we are saved. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). Your prayers are heard because they are offered in the name of Jesus, and we join you in that holy name, interceding for your needs.

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You with our brother, lifting his burdens to Your throne of grace. Lord, You have seen his tears, heard his cries, and carried him through valleys so deep they threatened to swallow him whole. Yet here he stands, still clinging to You, still trusting, still praying. We ask You to meet him in this hour with Your peace that surpasses understanding.

Father, we plead for the restoration of his marriage and family. Soften his wife’s heart, Lord. Convict her of the pain she has caused and draw her back to You and to her husband. Break the strongholds of pride, bitterness, or deception that may be keeping her away. Let her see the truth of what has been lost and the beauty of what could be restored. *"Restore to us the joy of your salvation, and uphold us with a willing spirit"* (Psalm 51:12). If it is Your will, reunite this family in a way that glorifies Your name and reflects Your covenant love.

Lord, provide for his every need. Open the door to stable housing—a place of safety and rest where he can regroup and find stability. Give him favor with landlords, with employers, and with those who can offer help. Provide the funds for his van to be fully repaired, that he may continue to work and serve without fear of breakdown. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and You are able to supply all his needs according to Your riches in glory.

Father, we ask for a steady job that honors his skills and provides for his future. You have gifted him with abilities to teach, to manage, and to labor—use these gifts for Your kingdom. Do not let the enemy steal his joy or his hope in this season of waiting. Remind him that *"the Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him"* (Lamentations 3:25).

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of despair that has whispered lies to him in the darkest nights. Replace his sorrow with Your joy, his mourning with dancing. Let him see Your hand at work, even in the small things—the gig orders that come just in time, the stranger who fixes his van, the signs that remind him You are near. *"You are my lamp, Lord. The Lord turns my darkness into light"* (2 Samuel 22:29).

Finally, Father, strengthen his faith. Let him know, beyond any doubt, that You are with him. When he is tempted to question Your goodness, remind him of the cross, where You proved Your love once for all. *"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ... No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us"* (Romans 8:35, 37).

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Keep seeking Him. Keep trusting Him. Even when the path is unclear, He is leading you. We are honored to walk this road with you in prayer, believing that God is not done writing your story.
