There is power in prayer (James 5:16)!

First, I appreciate each and every prayer.

As you may recall, I lost my manager job on June 16. The outgoing manager was rude, mean, and impolite. He also asked me to lie about the QA samples. I said I did not feel comfortable lying.

In the last few days, 5 companies have given me opportunities to interview.

I had a great interview with a company that has a contract on the army base. A few minutes ago, HR contacted me and asked me to come on the base next week and meet them. I will do that. The job is a really great opportunity with good pay and benefits.

The company that I thought was a grocery store turned out to be different stores, including gas stations. The position they are looking for is a gas station manager. The pay is really good. In the past, I turned down looking at gas station jobs because I know alcohol sales is a big thing and I really don’t want anything to do with it.

I am trusting God to lead me (Prov 3:3-5). I trust that he will put me in the right position at the right moment in time. The church in New Mexico hired somebody so that is no longer an option. I view that as God leading me away from there. I am OK with that.

I’ve been doing DoorDash to make ends meet. I have worked every day this week. Last night, I had a rough night with dreams, but I still got up at 5:15 AM and went and worked for an hour and a half and made $39.

I’m so thankful to God for DoorDash. It’s not something that I would want to do forever, but it is nice having a means to make money until a regular job happens for me.

Marriage

When a significant day or holiday passes; it makes me really sad because I think about the memories that my family created on those days. It also causes me deep sadness because if there was ever a chance for reconciliation, one would think a significant holiday or birthday would cause the other person to repent.

I miss my wife deeply. She did some really bad things to me. I honestly don’t see how she lives with herself, knowing what she’s done. But I stand prepared to forgive her and love her, like Christ of the church to the best of my ability. God, please move the mountain of separation.

If you followed my story, you know that I am living in the basement of a lady that owns this million dollar home. She let me move in the same day that I was let go for my job. It’s like God was blessing me with one positive due to the one negative. Recently, a tree fell down, covering up one of the roads coming up to the house. Today, I was able to move the big tree enough so that traffic could come up to the house. The owner was very happy that I did that for her. I’m grateful that God gave me the opportunity to show my appreciation for letting me stay here for free.

I appreciate each and every prayer.

I try and give updates on my situation so that I can show the power of prayer. I’ve never had 5 job interviews given to me this quickly.

Thank you, God!

I still do not have a job, but with the view, the opportunity gets closer and closer.

In an hour or so, I will go do some more DoorDash. I cannot afford to lose my phone because it gives me the ability to do DoorDash. So I need to make a payment.

Please continue to pray:

The reconciliation of my family.
My wife will repent.
A new career, better than the last.
My own place to live.
Strength.

I am so hoping that my weeping that has endured for a night will soon turn to joy in the morning (Ps 30:4-5). I am so exhausted from the pain. God, please move the mountain of deep sadness and distress. Please lift me up!

Yes, I believe in Jesus Christ.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experiences and prayers with us. We are here to pray with you and offer biblical encouragement and guidance.

Firstly, we commend you for your honesty and integrity in the workplace. It is clear that you have a strong moral compass, and we trust that God will honor your commitment to truth and righteousness. As the Bible says in Proverbs 10:9 (WEB), "He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out."

Regarding your job interviews, we are encouraged to hear about the opportunities that have been presented to you. We pray that God will guide you to the right position, one that aligns with His will for your life and brings you joy and provision. Remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Concerning the gas station manager position, we appreciate your caution regarding the sale of alcohol. It is important to consider the implications of being involved in such activities. The Bible tells us in Romans 14:13 (WEB), "Let's not therefore judge one another any more, but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block in his brother's way, or an occasion for falling." If managing a gas station could be seen as promoting something you are uncomfortable with, then it is wise to consider this carefully.

We admire your trust in God's leading and your willingness to work hard through DoorDash to make ends meet. Your dedication is a testament to your faith and perseverance. As it says in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 (WEB), "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'"

Regarding your marriage, we understand your deep sadness and longing for reconciliation. It is commendable that you are prepared to forgive and love your wife as Christ loves the church. We pray that God will work in her heart and bring about repentance and reconciliation. As it says in Malachi 2:16 (WEB), "'For I hate divorce,' says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence!' says Yahweh of Armies. 'Therefore pay attention to your spirit, and don't be unfaithful.'"

We are thankful for the provision of a place to stay and the opportunity to serve the homeowner. It is a blessing to see God's hand in your life, even in challenging circumstances.

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother in his time of need. We thank You for Your faithful provision and guidance in his life. We pray for wisdom and discernment as he navigates job opportunities, that You would lead him to the right position, one that honors You and brings him joy and provision.

We pray for his marriage, that You would work in his wife's heart and bring about repentance and reconciliation. We ask for Your comfort and strength in his time of sadness and distress.

We thank You for the provision of a place to stay and the opportunity to serve. We pray for continued provision and guidance as he seeks a new career and a place to live.

In all things, we ask that You would be glorified and that Your will would be done. We thank You for the promise of joy coming in the morning. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. As it says in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and salvation. If you have any doubts or questions about your faith in Jesus, we encourage you to seek guidance and strengthen your relationship with Him.
