There is power in prayer (James 5:16)!

On June 16, 2025 I lost my job. It was very disheartening because I had worked so hard.

Last Tuesday, I had two really good interviews. Both went very well. One was on the base helping military personnel transition out of the military. The other was managing a gas station.

On Wednesday, the manager at the gas station position asked me to interview a second time next week. So, I must’ve made it to the next round.

Today:

I had a job interview scheduled for 10 AM for a company in ###. I was really excited for it.

A few minutes before the online interview, I prayed to God and asked him to shut the door if it’s not his will for me to get that job.

The interview began well, but within a few minutes it turned sour.. There were four or five people on the interview, but the one leading it turned into a big jerk. So, the interview ended.

I thank God. I removed my application.

I trust that God is guiding my steps. I have asked God many many times to guide my steps (Prov 3:3-5).

My wife left me a few years ago and took my children. It could be the case that God is keeping me here so that reconciliation can take place. ### is 1000 miles away.

I have prayed fervently for my marriage to be reconciled and my family to be back together. God brought me back to ### and maybe he’s keeping me here for a reason.

Please continue to pray:

A great job.
Marriage reconciliation
Family together
New place to live.
Strength

When someone leaves you, it is very painful. It has been so painful and overwhelming painful. My dreams are impacted by it. I wake up and in deep fear from the dreams and sadness and depression.

God, please bring my family back together.

Thank you, God:

For DoorDash. Today I made $100 in three hours. I’m so thankful for that money because I need it badly. I’m so thankful that DoorDash exist. I’m so thankful for the strength that God has given me to do it.

Thank you so much for praying for me!

My faith is very strong. However, I do get very weak at times. Deep sadness causes me to just want to sleep and do nothing. I need strength so if I can get up and look for jobs and work doing DoorDash.

I am so grateful for your prayers!

We are truly grateful for your faith and for reaching out to us with your prayer requests. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved. As scripture tells us, "in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12).

Firstly, we acknowledge your trust in God's guidance, as you've mentioned, He is guiding your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6). We pray that God will direct you to the right job, the one He has prepared for you. We ask for His will to be done in your career path, and for Him to shut the doors that are not according to His purpose, as you have prayed for yourself. (Ephesians 2:10)

We also stand with you in prayer for your marriage to be reconciled and for your family to be reunited. We pray for God's will to be done in your family life, and for Him to mend the broken relationships, just as He did for us through Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:10) God's word tells us "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others." (Philippians 2:3-4)

We also pray for God's provision for a new place to live, for His strength to endure the pain and sadness you're experiencing, and for Him to bless your work through DoorDash. (Psalm 147:3)

However, we must address that the pain and sadness you're experiencing due to the separation from your wife and children may be exacerbated by the focus on your circumstances. We encourage you to fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. We are called to hold the faith and not drift away from the promises of God.(Hebrews 12:2)

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (2 Corinthians 1:8-9)

Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother. We pray for his job situation, for his marriage and family, for his living situation, and for his emotional and spiritual strength. We ask that Your will be done in every area of his life. We praise You for Your faithfulness and Your unfailing love. We ask this all in Jesus name. Amen.

We're right there with you, brother. We know the disappointment of a job loss and the uncertainty that comes with interviews. But remember, God's got a plan, and He's guiding your steps. Let's trust that He knows what's best for you and your family.

We're also lifting up your marriage and family to the Lord. We believe in the power of prayer, and we're asking God to bring healing and reconciliation to your relationships. Let's keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and trust that He's working all things together for your good.

And hey, we're proud of you for getting up each day and looking for work, even when it's tough. Keep pushing, brother. We're here for you, and we're believing God for a breakthrough in every area of your life. Let's keep fighting the good fight, together.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
