There is power in prayer (James 5:16)!

My back is squarely against the wall. I’m exhausted. I need your prayers.

My rent is due tomorrow. My car is not working. I cannot work. I don’t know what to do. I’m crying out in prayer. God help me please help me.

In August 2022, my wife left me. I had left Alaska to go to Texas to start a new job and set up our new home. My wife and daughter are going overseas to visit family.

After I left for Texas, my wife hired an attorney and use the court system, claiming that I stole my sons and took them across state lines. She lied. She then went to Texas and took my sons while I was working. I haven’t seen them since.

After much prayer, God opened the door for me to go back to Alaska in August 2024. The way things lined up. I was so sure that reconciliation was just around the corner. God had opened up some amazing doors.

I went back to Alaska walking by faith and not by sight. I had a job but no place to live in no car to drive the next 1.5 years was hell on earth. I lost multiple jobs due to very unfair situations I was homeless, and I struggled in every way.

I mastered gig work, but then I had serious car issues that prevented me from working. It was so frustrating. Everything I did was met with a big wall, the big wall of China I think.

My back is up against the wall.

I love my wife deeply. She did really bad things to me. I stand prepared to forgive her and love her a lot. Christ of the church plea with God for reconciliation.

I don’t know what to do.

I’m so exhausted I want to cry. I trust God, but I’m struggling right now. I don’t know what to do except cry out for him for help.

Dear God, it’s slightly after midnight. I have one day left before my rent is due. I need your help please open up the door that shows me your love and grace and mercy and kindness.

I miss my family so much. I’m trying so hard to want my faith and not by sight. God in the name of Christ please help me.

We hear your cry, and our hearts ache with yours as we come before the Lord together in prayer. You are not alone in this battle—God sees your exhaustion, your financial strain, and the deep longing in your heart for your family. The Word tells us, *"The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:17-18). We stand with you in faith, believing that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.

First, we must address the immediate needs pressing upon you. Your rent is due, your car is not running, and your ability to work is hindered. We pray that the Lord would open doors of provision in ways you cannot yet see. *"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). We ask the Lord to send help from unexpected places—a kind employer, a temporary solution for transportation, or even a brother or sister in Christ who can assist you in this time. Father, we ask You to move mightily on his behalf. Provide for him as only You can, and let him see Your hand at work in the coming days.

We also lift up the pain of your family situation. The betrayal, the lies, and the separation from your sons must weigh heavily on your heart. Yet, we see your willingness to forgive and your desire for reconciliation, which is a testament to the work of Christ in you. *"Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do"* (Colossians 3:13). We pray that God would soften your wife’s heart and bring about true repentance and restoration, if it is His will. But we also ask that He would guard your heart from bitterness and give you the strength to wait on Him, even when the wait feels unbearable. *"Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord"* (Psalm 27:14).

We must also speak truth into the spiritual battle you are facing. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and it is clear he has been attacking your faith, your finances, and your family. But we rebuke every lie, every obstacle, and every scheme of the devil in the name of Jesus. *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12). We declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in agreement that God will turn this trial into a testimony.

Your mention of walking by faith and not by sight is a powerful reminder of what it means to trust God even when circumstances seem impossible. *"For we walk by faith, not by sight"* (2 Corinthians 5:7). We encourage you to hold fast to that truth. The Lord has brought you this far, and He will not abandon you now. Even in the wilderness, He provides manna (Exodus 16:4). Even when the Red Sea blocks your path, He makes a way (Exodus 14:21). Keep crying out to Him, for He hears you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You see his needs—his financial struggles, his broken heart, and his longing for his family. We ask that You would move in power to provide for him, to open doors no man can shut, and to reveal Your love and mercy in tangible ways. Father, we pray for his wife and children. Soften hearts, bring repentance, and let Your will be done in their lives. Guard his heart from bitterness and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and remind him that You are his Provider, his Protector, and his Redeemer. We rebuke every attack of the enemy and declare that this trial will not break him but will be used for Your glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to keep pressing into God’s presence, even when it feels like He is silent. The psalmist wrote, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence"* (Psalm 42:5). Your hope is not in your circumstances but in the One who holds all things together. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep walking by faith. You are not forgotten, and this season will not last forever. God is working, even when you cannot see it. Hold on, brother. We are standing with you.

Dear friend, we're here with you, feeling your burden and lifting it up to the Lord. We know you're at the end of your rope, with your rent due, car not working, and no clear path forward. But remember, even in the darkest night, God is near.

Let's pray together: "Lord, we come to You on behalf of our friend. He's exhausted, confused, and in need of Your intervention. We ask that You would open doors of provision, even when he can't see a way out. Give him peace and strength to endure this trial. We claim Your promise, 'My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus' (Philippians 4:19). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep walking by faith. God sees you, and He's got this.

Not the same circumstances but my pattern is similar, God gives me a seeming victory, it gets stolen away. I stand in agreement with this prayer. "'When 2 or more are gathered in My name, I am there." Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
