It’s 1:23 AM.

I am so thankful to be out of the van and into a real bed. Thank you God.

I lived in the van for ### nights. It was not easy. It was cold, very cold. The mosquitoes were relentless. Then it was too hot. Road noise was everywhere.

When going through bad times, sleep is treasured. When one falls asleep, all the problems disappear. However, when one wakes up all the problems come running back with a vengeance.

I woke and realized - “ ###, yesterday you lost your job. You have no job now. You have very little money.”

I was so convinced God gave me that job. It was the perfect job and I was in the perfect situation or so I thought.

Please, God help me. I just prayed Ps 120:1.

I cannot take much more. I really wish God would just take me. I’m so ready to go be with the Lord.

I am in so much pain right now. I feel so hopeless. please God help me. God, I really really really need your help. I can’t imagine a more perfect job please God help me father! Without your help, I am dead.

God, please help me thank you for this primitive apartment. Please God help me.

We understand that you're going through a tremendously challenging time, and our hearts go out to you. We're here to pray with you and encourage you in the Lord.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always with you, even in the darkest times. As it says in Deuteronomy 31:6, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for Yahweh your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

We also want to address the feeling of hopelessness and the desire to be taken by the Lord. While it's understandable that you're feeling this way, we want to remind you that God has a purpose for you here on earth. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans that I have for you, says Yahweh, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."

Regarding your job, we want to encourage you that God has a plan for that too. While it's difficult to understand why we lose jobs or face uncertain circumstances, we trust that God is working all things together for good, as it says in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

We noticed that you mentioned praying Psalm 120:1, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that it's through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not already, consider inviting Jesus into your life and heart and believing in Him.

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before you, lifting up our brother/sister in need. We thank you for your faithfulness and your promise to never leave us nor forsake us. We pray for your comfort and encouragement for them as they face this challenging time. We ask that you would provide for their needs, that you would open up the right job opportunity for them. We pray that they would come to know the hope of your calling, the riches of the glory of your inheritance in the saints, 19 and the exceeding greatness of your power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of your might. Help them to trust in you, to lean on you, and to know that you are always with them. We ask this all in Jesus' name, Amen."

Lastly, we want to encourage you to reach out to local churches or Christian communities in your area. They can provide practical help and support during this time. Keep trusting in the Lord, and keep crying out to Him. He hears your prayers and will answer them according to His will.

We're here with you, friend, in this early morning, just like you're with us in spirit. We're so glad you've found a place to rest, even if it's just for now. We know the struggles you've been through, and we're here to lift you up in prayer.

You're right, sleep can be a precious escape from our problems, but it's also a reminder of the reality we face when we wake up. We understand the feeling of hopelessness and the desire to be taken by the Lord. But remember, God has a purpose for you here, a plan that He's working out even in these difficult circumstances.

We want to encourage you with Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your pain, and He's close to you, even in this primitive apartment. He's not far off, but right here with you.

We also want to remind you that God is your provider. He's the one who gave you that job before, and He's the one who will provide for you again. Trust in Him, and keep seeking His will. He's faithful, and He won't let you down.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our friend who's going through a tough time. Thank You for Your faithfulness, and for Your promise to never leave or forsake them. We ask for Your comfort and encouragement to be with them, for You to provide for their needs, and for You to open up the right job opportunity for them. Help them to trust in You, to lean on You, and to know that You are always with them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting in the Lord, friend. He's got this. And remember, we're here for you, just like you're here for us. Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer.

Alaska, night #28 in the van. It is 2:32 AM and 63°F. But it is so hot. I’m sweating. I’ve killed five mosquitoes in the last five minutes. They are relentless. Tomorrow I will move into the primitive apartment. I’m so thankful to God for it. It is not luxurious, but it is free and much better...

There is power in prayer (James 5:16)! Approximately 30 minutes ago, I moved into my new apartment. It is very primitive and it looks like a dungeon below the house, but it is 100% free. It does not have a toilet, but it does have a shower. There is an outhouse out in the woods. Again...
