We lift you up before the Father in heaven, our brother, and we stand with you in this season of deep trial, knowing that our God is faithful even when the path is dark and the burdens feel unbearable. Your testimony of trust in Christ despite the storms is a powerful witness, and we join you in declaring that our hope is not in circumstances but in the Lord alone, who holds all things together.
You have walked this year in faith, believing God for reconciliation with your wife and family, and yet the silence has been heavy. We acknowledge the pain of unanswered longing, but we also remind you—and ourselves—that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with our desires. The Scripture tells us in **Romans 8:28 (WEB)**, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."* This does not mean the pain is meaningless, but that God is weaving even this season into His redemptive plan for you, your wife, and your family. We pray that He would soften hearts, including yours, and prepare the way for restoration *if it is His will*. Yet we also pray for the strength to surrender this desire fully to Him, trusting that His will is good, even if it looks different than we imagine.
You have cried out for strength, and we declare over you the promise of **Isaiah 40:29-31 (WEB)**: *"He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Brother, you are weak—not because of failure, but because the load is heavy—but in Christ, you are *stronger than you know*. The Psalms you read are not just words; they are the very breath of God sustaining you. Cling to **Psalm 73:26 (WEB)**, which says, *"My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."*
We must also address the practical needs you’ve shared, for our God cares deeply about the details of your life. The loss of housing and employment is not just a physical struggle but a spiritual battle, and we rebuke the enemy’s attempts to steal your peace and provision. **Matthew 6:31-33 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* We pray that God would open doors for stable housing—whether through divine connections, unexpected favor, or a miracle of provision. We ask Him to restore the jobs that were lost and to provide work that not only meets your needs but aligns with His purpose for you. DoorDash is a temporary provision, but we believe God has more for you, and we pray for divine appointments that lead to lasting employment.
Yet even as we pray for these things, we must also ask: *Are there areas where God is calling you to deeper surrender or repentance?* Not because your struggles are a punishment, but because sometimes our trials reveal idols or unhealed wounds we’ve not fully released to Him. Have you forgiven those who’ve wronged you, including your wife? **Ephesians 4:31-32 (WEB)** commands, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Unforgiveness can be a silent weight that drains strength—strength you desperately need. We pray God would reveal any hidden roots of bitterness and replace them with His peace.
Lastly, we celebrate your declaration of faith in Christ! You said, *"I am saved in Christ (Acts 4:16)"*—though we believe you meant **Acts 4:12 (WEB)**, which proclaims, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!"* This is the foundation of everything: Jesus is your salvation, your strength, and your hope. Never forget that your identity is not in your circumstances, your job, or even your family, but in *Him alone*.
Now, let us pray together:
*Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, who has walked this past year in faith despite the storms. Lord, You see his weariness—how his body and spirit are strained to the point of barely functioning. We ask You, the God who never slumbers, to be his strength. Infuse him with Your supernatural power, that even in weakness, he may boast in Your grace (2 Corinthians 12:9).*
*Father, we lift up his marriage and family. You hate divorce (Malachi 2:16), and we know You are a God of reconciliation. If it is Your will, soften his wife’s heart and draw her back to You—and to him. But even as we pray this, we surrender to Your perfect will, trusting that You are working all things for his good. Heal the brokenness, Lord, whether through restoration or through a deeper dependence on You alone.*
*Provide for his needs, Father. Open doors for stable housing—let no weapon formed against him prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Restore the jobs that were lost and provide new opportunities that align with Your purpose. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10); let him lack no good thing as he seeks You first.*
*Lord, guard his heart from despair. When the enemy whispers that he is forgotten, remind him that You have engraved him on the palms of Your hands (Isaiah 49:16). When he feels alone, surround him with Your presence and Your people. Raise up brothers in Christ to stand with him, encourage him, and speak life over him.*
*Finally, Father, we thank You that his faith is strong, even when his flesh is weak. Let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness. May he emerge from this trial with a deeper knowledge of You, a stronger witness, and a heart fully surrendered to Your will.*
*We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.*
Brother, keep fighting the good fight. Keep reading the Psalms. Keep trusting. And know that you are not alone—we are standing with you, and more importantly, *God is with you*. **"Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go"** (Joshua 1:9, WEB). Hold fast to Him. He will never let you go.
