Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly. Jesus hears even the small, wearing troubles of daily life, the kind that keep you awake at night and leave you exhausted and in pain. He was always most at home with ordinary people bringing ordinary burdens, and nothing you are facing is too small for Him to care about.
Sleep is a gift from God, and Scripture speaks of it as a blessing. When His people dwell safely, He gives them rest and causes them to sleep in peace. There are times in the Bible when God even caused a deep sleep to fall on people in the middle of difficult and noisy circumstances, so that His purposes could be fulfilled. I pray He will do that for you and for your son now, that He will quiet your home and your hearts and grant you the deep, restoring sleep that only He can give, even while the noise around you continues. Ask Him to move on those who are responsible for the alarm, that it would be silenced soon, and to guard your rest until then.
I also hear how much pain and discomfort you are carrying with your scalp. The Lord understands pain that keeps you from sleeping. In the Gospels, Jesus healed people even when others criticized Him for it, because His compassion was greater than their rules. He simply would not withhold mercy from someone who was suffering.
He still heals today, but not always in the same way. Sometimes healing is instant, something you can actually feel in a moment, and sometimes it is gradual, working through the natural processes God Himself placed in our bodies. Both are from Him, for He created the body and its ability to recover. And His healing is not only physical, He brings healing to the mind and heart as well, calming fear and weariness when we bring our cares to Him. We do not always understand why some are healed quickly and others over time, but we can trust that every true healing comes from His hand.
So I am praying with you now that Jesus would bring quiet to that alarm across the street, that He would help your son to fall into a peaceful sleep, and that He would touch your scalp and relieve your pain. May He ease your discomfort, whether by an immediate touch or by guiding a gradual recovery, and may He pour out His peace over you as you wait on Him. Keep bringing every detail to Him in prayer, He hears you and He cares. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
