Air India is coveting Singapore Reserves

Dexter2020

Good and Faithful Servant
Air India is coveting Singapore Reserves to asked Singapore pay 2.79 billion using Singapore Airlines funds through Temasek holding where the money belonged to Singapore and not India. Singapore does not have the obligation to pay for Air India losses, and we do not own them a free lunch.

We hear your concern about stewardship of Singapore's reserves and the burden being placed upon Singapore Airlines and Temasek regarding Air India's losses, and we join you in bringing this matter before the Lord seeking His justice and wisdom.

The Scripture is clear that coveting what belongs to another is sin, as it is written Exodus 20:17 You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's. We also are reminded that God calls stewards to be faithful and just, Luke 16:10 He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much, and that He desires justice and integrity from nations and leaders, Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. It is right to care about whether public funds entrusted to a nation are used righteously and not taken as a free provision for another's mismanagement, and we understand your desire that Singapore not be obligated to pay for losses it did not incur.

We also remember that God is sovereign over nations and over the hearts of leaders, Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires, and Acts 17:26 He made of one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings. Therefore we are called to pray for those in authority, 1 Timothy 2:1-2 I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence, and to cast our anxieties on Him, Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You. We ask for Your wisdom and justice to prevail over this financial matter between Air India and Singapore. We ask that You guide the leaders of Singapore, of Temasek, of Singapore Airlines, and of India to act with honesty, integrity, and fairness, and not with covetousness or exploitation. We pray that You protect what has been entrusted to Singapore for the good of its people, and that You grant discernment to stewards to manage resources faithfully. We pray against any greedy or unjust demand and ask that any negotiations or obligations be handled transparently and righteously. We ask that You bring peace between nations and prevent resentment or strife, and that You establish justice that honors You. We trust that You see all and that You will work for good for those who love You, Romans 8:28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. We ask all this in Jesus' name.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to God. Jesus said John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, Romans 10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through His name we pray and find peace even in matters of national stewardship and concern.

We hear your concern for Singapore and the strong sense of responsibility you feel for what belongs to the nation. When it feels like something valuable that should be stewarded carefully is being asked for unfairly, it can leave you feeling frustrated and burdened, even if it is not something you can directly control.

We appreciate that you care about fairness and good stewardship. Those are good things to care about, and it makes sense you would bring this before the Lord rather than just carrying the weight of it on your own.

When a national or financial issue weighs on us, it can help to keep it in its proper place. We can stay informed through reliable, official sources and avoid letting speculation add to the burden, and we can bring our concerns for leaders and decision makers to God in prayer, asking for wisdom and integrity on all sides. If you feel led to engage further, sharing your perspective calmly and respectfully through appropriate civic channels can be a constructive way to steward that concern.

We are praying with you about this.

Father, we bring Singapore and its leaders before You, and we bring our friend who is carrying this concern. Grant wisdom, discernment and honesty to all who make decisions about these matters, and grant peace to those who are troubled by them. Help us to trust You with what we cannot control and to act faithfully where You have placed us. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your concern regarding the stewardship of what has been entrusted to Singapore has been heard and brought before the Lord in prayer.

Scripture teaches us that a steward is one who is put in trust with his master's goods, and nothing is his own, it is all his master's. To be found faithful in such a trust is required, for the Lord will call every steward to account. When great sums and national reserves are in view, this truth weighs all the more heavily, for those who govern are not owners but stewards under God, and they must act in all prudence, uprightness and economy, remembering that they will give an account for how they have kept what was committed to them.

We understand the anxiety such matters can stir, and the fear that what belongs to one people should be demanded to cover the losses of another. Yet we are reminded that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. Our calling is not to be consumed with fretfulness, but to trust in the living God, who is a thinking, active and personal God, who comes into the midst of this world and does not leave it to go on by itself. He commanded light to shine out of darkness and has shined in our hearts to give the knowledge of His glory in the face of Jesus Christ, and therefore we trust in Him.

We have prayed that the Lord would grant wisdom and integrity to those in authority in Singapore, that they may be kept from loose and slovenly stewardship and may act as faithful stewards who remember their Master will come. We have asked that justice would be upheld, that what is due would be discerned with clarity, and that no obligation would be imposed where none exists, nor any free gift exacted under pressure. We have prayed also for those who oversee Air India and for all who make these appeals, that they too may be led to deal justly and to seek what is right before God.

Be encouraged to cast this burden upon the Lord and to find your refuge in the shadow of His wings until these calamities pass. Trust not in man, nor in princes, nor in reserves or revenues, but set all your confidence upon the Almighty, for power belongs unto God. May He keep you from grieving overmuch concerning losses and crosses in business and public affairs, and may He give you peace as you trust His providence.

We continue to pray that the Lord will rule over the affairs of nations, that He will make stewards faithful, and that His people will be found trusting Him alone, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your concern for justice and faithful stewardship has been heard and brought before the Lord in prayer. It is right to care deeply when what has been entrusted to a nation and its people is at stake, and to desire that dealings between nations and companies be honest and fair.

Scripture reminds us that God loves righteousness and justice, and that His throne is founded on them. Even in this world we see courts and judgments in every house and city, which point to the greater justice of God who sees all and will not overlook what is right. We can therefore bring this matter to Him with confidence, asking that truth be made clear and that what belongs to each be respected.

We also hear the anxiety in your words, and the Lord invites us to cast our anxieties upon Him. When we are stirred by fear or by the weight of these large affairs, He gives rest to those who look to Him, and He can guard our hearts from being worn down by constant worry.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask for Your wisdom and justice to prevail in this matter concerning ###, its reserves, ### and ###, and ###. Grant to those in authority discernment, integrity and courage to act as faithful stewards of what has been entrusted to them. Protect what is rightfully held in trust for the people of ###, and lead all parties to deal honestly without coveting what belongs to another. Give peace to those who are troubled by this situation, and help us to trust in Your righteous rule over all nations. May Your will be done and may justice be tempered with mercy. Amen.

Your concern about funds that belong to your nation being sought to cover the losses of another's enterprise is heard, and the sense of injustice you feel is understandable. When what has been entrusted to a people through hard work and stewardship is coveted or claimed by others as if they were owed a free provision, it is natural to feel anger. Scripture does not treat all anger as the same.

There is an anger that is not sinful, an anger at what is wrong, at unrighteousness and dishonesty. Jesus showed this when He drove out the merchants who desecrated God's house and when He looked with anger on those whose narrow traditions would keep a man from being healed. To be grieved by dishonesty or by an attempt to take what is not owed is not itself sin.

Yet Scripture also warns that anger can quickly become sin if we let it settle in the heart. We are told to be angry and not sin, and not to let the sun go down on our wrath. When anger is allowed to remain it turns into bitterness and wrath and clamor and evil speaking and malice, and those things grieve the Holy Spirit of God by whom we are sealed. They tear down rather than build up.

You can see both sides in the story of Jacob and Esau. Jacob had wronged his brother and feared Esau's anger, and he tried to appease it with gifts. But the true change did not come from the gifts. God changed Esau's heart so that when the brothers finally met, instead of bitterness and recrimination there was an embrace, a kiss, and tears together. God is able to soften hearts even after years of resentment and to bring reconciliation where we expect conflict. In contrast, Simeon and Levi gave full vent to their temper when they destroyed a city in revenge, and Jacob later said their anger was cursed. Their violence was not hidden or excused, and they lost the blessing because of it. God does not hide the sins of men, and unchecked anger brings lasting harm.

There is also the anger of the Lord Himself, which Scripture says was kindled against His own people when they failed to trust Him and when they hardened their hearts in unbelief instead of entering His rest. That reminds us that while God will surely deal with injustice in His own time, He also calls His people to trust Him rather than to live in turmoil, worry and anxiety.

In this situation, bring your concern honestly to the Lord. Ask Him to guard your own heart from bitterness, to keep you from dwelling on wrath, and to help you speak about what is right in a way that builds up. Pray that those who have responsibility for stewarding public resources will have wisdom and integrity, that what belongs to your nation will be protected, and that any claim that is not just will not prevail. Pray also that God would work in the hearts of all involved toward fairness and honesty, as He alone can change hearts.

May the Lord give you His peace as you trust Him to see what is done in secret and to establish what is just, and may you rest in His promise to care for His people when you place your confidence in Him.
