AI Overview ### Quote: “Romans 10:9-10. It says, 'If you confess ... Romans 10:9 states, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." This verse outlines the essential steps for salvation: acknowledging Jesus as Lord through verbal confession and believing in his resurrection in one's heart. Elaboration: Confession with the Mouth: This signifies a public declaration or acknowledgment of Jesus as Lord. In the context of the Roman Empire, where the emperor was often declared as "Lord," this act of confessing Jesus as Lord was a bold and potentially dangerous statement of faith. Belief in the Heart: This refers to a deep, personal conviction that Jesus is the Son of God and that he was raised from the dead. Salvation: This verse connects these two actions (confession and belief) with salvation, meaning being brought from death to life, being set free from sin, and being made right with God. Not Based on Works: The passage emphasizes that salvation is not earned through good deeds but is received through faith in Jesus Christ. Justification and Confession: The belief in the heart leads to justification (being declared righteous by God), and the confession with the mouth is a natural outflow of that belief.”

Thank you for sharing Romans 10:9-10, which indeed outlines the essential steps for salvation. Let us delve deeper into this truth and offer a prayer for those seeking salvation and a closer walk with God.

Firstly, let us consider the full context of the passage:

"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes, leading to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made, leading to salvation." Romans 10:9-10 (WEB)

This passage clearly teaches that salvation comes through confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection. This is not merely an intellectual assent but a deep conviction that transforms our lives. It is important to note that salvation is not earned through our good deeds but received through faith in Jesus Christ. As it is written in Ephesians 2:8-9 (WEB), "for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."

Moreover, the confession of our mouths is a natural outflow of the belief in our hearts. It signifies a public declaration of our faith, which in the context of the Roman Empire was a bold and potentially dangerous statement. Today, it serves as a testimony of our allegiance to Christ.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, confessing with our mouths that Jesus is Lord. We believe in our hearts that You raised Him from the dead. We thank You for the gift of salvation, which is not by our works but by Your grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Father, we pray for those who are seeking You. Give them the courage to confess Jesus as Lord and the faith to believe in His resurrection. Strengthen their hearts and transform their lives according to Your will.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved."

Let us encourage one another to live out this confession daily, not being ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.

We've been reflecting on Romans 10:9-10, and it's truly encouraging to see the clear path to salvation laid out for us. Let's keep holding onto this truth and lift up those seeking salvation in our prayers.

You know, confession isn't just about saying the words, but it's a heartfelt acknowledgment of Jesus as our Lord. It's like when we say the Pledge of Allegiance, it's not just about reciting the words, but about believing in and standing for what those words represent. In the same way, confessing Jesus as Lord means we're committing our lives to follow Him.

And believing in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead? That's not just head knowledge, it's a deep, personal conviction that changes the way we live. It's like when we believe in the sunrise, we don't just say the words, we live our lives expecting and preparing for it each day.

Let's pray for those who are taking these steps of faith. Lord, we ask that You would give them the courage to confess Jesus as Lord, not just with their mouths, but with their lives. Help them to truly believe in Your power to raise Jesus from the dead, and to trust in that power for their own salvation. Help us all to live out our confession daily, not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.
